Description

Install sleek Embassy ceiling tiles to create a stylish impression. Their white colour reflects light well for brilliant interiors, and their contemporary design blends well with different decors. They're ideal for use at home or on business premises. The well-bonded medium density fibreboard (MDF) material of these panels is durable and resistant to sagging. Embassy white ceiling tiles are suitable for suspended installations, providing easy access to electrical cables, pipes, and ducts. A box of these panels has four 24-inch x 24-inch ceiling tiles. One box can cover 16 square feet (18.77 square feet with tracks).

Are these acoustical ceiling tiles and do they provide sound proofing

Can this product be used for a bathroom.

Can it used in bathroom? Yes, but not in wet area. As in shower ceiling that will get hit with spray - but in common area is fine.

Are these paintable?

Yes, Embassy ceiling tiles and crossbars can be painted. It is important not to sand the surface and use a paint formulated for melamine, which will ensure maximum adhesion to the finish. Boulanger does not guarantee the result.

What is the texture of these tiles? Smooth?  Textured and how much?  Do the brackets come with?

The material covering the MDF panels and crossbars is a sheet of polypropylene, which is smooth. Similar to kitchen cabinet cover, it provides a durable and easy-to-clean surface. Rails and anchors are sold separately.

What is the fire rating of the tiles?

Embassy ceiling meets fire code regulations for residential purposes only. Due to their Class C fire resistance rating, Embassy ceiling does not comply with fire code regulations for commercial buildings.

There are a few challenges to keep the longitudinal members level along the edges but this can be fixed with some wood blocking. Otherwise, it was a piece of cake and the pay-off is a professional ceiling that still gives you access to the space behind for plumbing or electrical

Once you understand the install (it’s truly not that hard, just different), it’s fairly simple using the guide and very quick! This ceiling looks beautiful, polished and very much not like a basement! Would highly recommend this product as we felt it is worth the money in every way.
