Description
The EGO POWER+ Backpack Blower delivers the power and performance of gas without the noise, fuss and fumes. Featuring a jet-engine inspired turbine fan, high-efficiency brushless motor and ARC Lithium(TM) battery technology, this blower produces an industry-best 600 CFM of power (on turbo) with a run time of up to 180 minutes (on low speed). With a handle mounted, variable-speed control, users can adjust speeds on the go: powering up to move large debris or powering down for the flower beds. At just 64 dB, the EGO POWER+ Backpack Blower is 8 times quieter than popular gas models, so it's ideal for noise-sensitive properties and cities with leaf-blower noise restrictions. Robust tool construction and materials make this blower ideal for everyday use in demanding conditions. All EGO tools, batteries and chargers are 100% compatible so owners can build the combinations they need and maximize their value.
- Variable speed to blow air from 260 CFM to 600 CFM

- Adjustable harness with waist belt
- Weather-resistant construction

Glad I bought it
I have been looking for something like this for awhile. So far I have used it for about six batteries worth. Little assembling required. A fully charged battery lasts about 35 minutes with full trigger use but no turbo use. I use it to blow leaves on grass. Very comfortable to wear and use even though I am left-handed and the hose is on the right. My right arm never tires. It does feel a little heavy but that hasn't slowed me down. My only negative is putting it on. For me, lifting it up and getting the shoulder straps in place requires some effort. I should look for a bench to rest it on - that should make it easier to slip into.

Works almost as good as a gas blower
I bought this for my wife since she was unable to start our gas backpack blowers. This blower is lightweight even with the battery and is easy on her back. She use to blow for about an hour with a full tank of gas. This blower blows as good as the gas blower on the top two power levels. But, she can only blow for about a half hour on a fully charged battery. She could get two hours on the lowest setting, but you essentially have a sweeper at that setting. All in all, it's a very good product. You may want to invest in a second battery. To be fair, we live in the middle of a woods and have about two acres to blow. But it does the job.

20 minutes, that's all you get
I really want to like this product. The battery gives you 20 minutes. 20 minutes! That barely puts a dent in a reasonable sized lot during leaf season. The product is good. Slightly under powered, but acceptable, right up until the battery dies at 20 minutes and you have a huge leaf pile you now have to rake and 3/4 of a yard left untouched. The product should sell at this price with a high capacity battery or at least 3 batteries and chargers to be at all competitive. It's really too bad. I wish this was not the case. Apparently the technology isn't quite there yet.

Quality Product!
This is my first leaf blower, so have nothing to compare it to. I have two big maples in my side yard and have always raked the leaves by hand.
This year I told myself enough of that, its allot of work. I have an EGO string trimmer and was very pleased with it, so decided to give another EGO product a try.
I am very impressed with the job this blower does and battery life is really good. Almost able to do the whole job in one charge. Once the backpack is adjusted, it is a real joy to wear and blow leaves, almost look forward to it!
Bottom line is it is a quality product and would buy it again. It gets the job done with no fuss.

Backpack Blow
I love the back blower. I have 7.5 Amp battery which is just enough time for me to complete blowing my 1/4 acre yard with juice to spare. I also don't have the strength to hold the blower for long periods so having the back pack hold the majority of the weight is great. Especially the blower arm all i have to do is press the trigger and point it what i want to blow. I wish that I could have used the same back pack for Egos multihead tool. When I first saw the backpack blower I thought it worked for all the tools. I'm aware they have a separate backpack for that. It just would have been nice to only purchase one backpack for several tools.

Just got this from home depot online with the 7.5 amp battery,,,love this tool,,,,comes with rapid charger,,,,works so great,,its power beyond belief, its so true,,,,and is really quiet and light weight,,,,12.5 pounds the tool alone....I have never had a backpack blower ,this thing is very powerful,,,did a few jobs and don't need the turbo much,,,love the run time with the 7.5 battery,,,I do have the 5 amp battery the extra power is well worth the extra money, for bigger jobs you need extra batteries is a plus from your other ego yard tools,,,,ego you did a great job making this only issues would be a trigger lock ,,,,,I would recommend this product

Environmentally friendly, indeed. But...
I was all for more eco friendly yard equipment. After researching blowers, I decided to give the Ego a try. Unfortunately, not one store has a floor sample to try before buying. I got the blower home, assembled it and charged the battery overnight. I live on thirty acres adjacent to a National Forest. Leaves in the fall consume the property, but I tried out the Ego in the late spring for light clean up.
I also have a very long paved driveway and tree overhang the drive. Right off the bat, I discovered this blower does not have the power to move more than a handful of leaves at a time, unless turbo is used. I had to continually use the turn to move small branches, hemlock needs and leaves off the driveway. After 15 minutes and less than 1/2 the driveway completed, the battery was completely depleted. I returned the Ego blower to the store the next day and got a refund. Until the battery life is better, and blower power is greater, this just won't stack up to the gas powered back packs.

Blower
Bought this blower 2 months ago worked great at first, but now the 5.0 battery will not last long enough for me to blow the leaves in my 1/4 acre yard. the blower works good, it is very quiet but the battery life SUCKS. I looked into purchasing the stronger 7.8 battery but the battery cost more than the blower & battery.
