More than I expected
I’ve always had gasoline push mowers. To my surprise, this made mowing enjoyable again. As i’ve gotten older, the old push mower got to be a chore. The push button start, light weight mower, with rear-wheel drive made mowing easy. Its so quiet that I think I can mow earlier in the day and not disturb my neighbors. The large battery allowed me to mow the entire yard and still have juice left over. One thing I noticed is how cleanly it cuts and it didn’t throw any grass out on my shoes. I’ve only used it once, but so far, I am very pleased. I actually hope it holds up well, because I don’t want to go back to pushing that beast gasoline mower again.

Very happy so far.
I had the EGO self propelled about a month now and have cut my yard three times without a recharge. I'm cutting about 5500 sq.ft of flat lawn. The mower is so light and easy to push I don't use the self propel feature half the time. Easy of use, low noise and storage afterwards is soooo much easier than my old gas mower. The ONLY thing that does not give it five stars is that it does not have the blade speed or mulching ability of a gas mower. But the plus side of that is it does not kick up near the dust and debris that a gas mower does. Long term durability remains to be seen, though it runs so much smother than a gas mower my expectations are high.

Will Never Go Back To Gas Mower
After reading several reviews, I decided to take the plunge and get the 21" self-propelled mower. It wasn't a mistake. It has plenty of power and did my front yard, both sides of my driveway, and behind my fence with some power to spare. The yard came out looking great. I mulch and don't bag and there were no clippings left on top. I like being able to adjust the speed on the fly and recharge time is no problem. The mower folds up quickly, easily, and stores against my garage wall leaving plenty of room to pull the car in. I have been waiting for a powerful electric mower which is also self-propelled and this one fits perfectly. Go, Go, Ego.

As good, and powerful, as any gas mower I've used
I love this mower. The ONLY reason I give it 4 stars is removal of the battery. It is a huge issue for me to get the battery out of the charger. The battery is heavy, and my hands are very small, so it is difficult for me to get the battery out of the charger. I cannot grip this battery with both hands. This mower does an excellent job cutting the grass. I have one 1/3 of an acre, and because I use the self propelled feature, the battery does not last for the entire yard. Usually, I cut the front yard first, then recharge and cut the backyard. The battery charge time is a little long, but no
problem. The self propelled feature is fabulous!

Love everything about this mower except the cut
I bought this mower last fall. Since that time I have struggled with the cut I get on the lawn. I thought it was just a dull standard blade. I sharpened it. Nothing. I ordered a new blade. Still is an awful cut if you have thick grass. My lawn is now diseased and brown looking since entire top of cut is frayed. It is that way even if I wait 3 or 4 days between mows instead of a week. It is a shame because I LOVE everything else about this mower - battery lasts almost an entire mow on my 1/8 acre lot, I charge the battery with my solar panels, love the lights, ease of use, and self-propelled system. The cut; however, is terrible.

This guy is a BEAST!!!
This guy is a monster. Battery lasts as it says, about 1 hour and takes 1 hour to recharge. Mine went down in 40 minutes cutting a quarter acre of 14" tall, damp grass, leaf remnants and weeds using the mulching feature. It powered right through them like nobody's business. Self propel works beautifully. Effortless mowing. Just walk at a casual pace. Very quiet operation as well. Can barely hear it in the next yard. Just about can't hear it in the house. Mowing at 8p.m. using the LED headlights in the cool evening was nice just before dark set in. Nobody was disturbed by the sound. Highly recommended if you're looking for a good push mower.

Great mower with only one minor issue
We have only used it once since purchasing but it was impressive - good clean cut, excellent range of heights and very quiet. Seems well built and the mower made it through a nearly quarter acre on one charge with about 25% remaining.
The only disappointment is the self-propulsion - on the slowest feed it's a pretty fast clip and the fastest speed you'd be basically running. The speed adjustment needs to be geared down some more as it's not a leisurely pace walking behind it at the slowest mode.
Folds down and store neatly. Overall I like this mower a lot but I wish there was a way to slow it down just a little.

Powerful battery mower
This battery powered self-propelled lawn mower does the job. It works like a normal walk behind mower until you pull the self-propel lever then woah! It takes off up the steepest hills. Just remember to let go of the self-propel lever! The lever does drain the battery power faster so use it only when necessary. The mower has several height choices so it can go through the thickest grass or trim low. I just bought my second one for a second home, where the grass is thick and tenacious but does not intimidate this mower. It takes about a half hour to charge but can do any decent size lawn on one charge. I highly recommend it.
