Hello,
Being a zero turn mower the mower is able to make smooth turns and rotations with the zero turn controls. Thank you for your inquiry!

How many amps does the charger draw with 6 - 10ah batteries charging. I want to know if it will work on my shed’s circuit which has other chargers and door opener.

Battery life is nowhere near advertised
One of the main reasons I purchased this mower vs other brands was the high reviews and the up to 2 acres on a charge. I own a .87 acre lot (with a large home & driveway so probably only .65 of grass). I can only mow 2/3 of my lawn on a full charge which is QUITE DISAPPOINTING! I’ve tired this 4 times now. If it wasn’t too late, I'd return it in a heartbeat if I could and get something else. I feel like EGO owes me two more battery so it doesn’t take me two days to mow my subdivision lawn. I don't want to comment on the other features because if I can't mow my yard in one shot, who cares about everything else.

Only Good Where It’s Flat
Delivery was smooth. My previous experience is with gas powered zero turns, and at first it seemed like the Z would be pretty equivalent. Disappointed, though, that the mower is really only capable on relatively flat sections of lawn. Even a slight slope (10°) results in dangerous yaws and sometimes over-torque of downside wheels to stay straight. In addition to being generally dangerous, this also causes rear wheel spin and scarring of grass at turns and randomly elsewhere. Will keep only because I have enough flat to very low slope area to make it worthwhile to contribute to a better environment. But I’m not happy about having to resort to my push mower for remainder of lawn.

Great Mower!
Upgraded to this from a 42" Husquavarna garden tractor. Handles very tight and has plenty of power even when I let the grass grow quite a bit. With all 6 batteries, I can cut my one-acre lot and still have over 30% battery left when running on high-performance settings. If I run it on "eco" settings, I still have about 50% and it cuts just fine, just takes a few minutes longer at a slower speed. It's a bit on the pricy side, but the near-zero maintenance makes up for it. All 6 10 Amp-Hr batteries charge from 0-full in about 2 hrs, but that's pretty irrelevant since the yard is completely cut and then some on a single charge.

EGO zero turn lwaun mower.
I am able to mow1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours on a charge, which requires 4 charges to get my less than 2 acre lawn mowed. And, of course, it requires 1 1/2 to 2 hours to charge it. For an 89 year old person it is difficult to get off the mower, because it is so low down.
On the positive side it does a good job of trimming the grass, and I like the hose connection to clear the underside of the deck of debris. And I appreciate that no gas or oil is required. I was told there was no maintenance required, but after checking the manual, I note that greasing is required every 50 hours,, and of course, that requires removing the mower deck, which will be difficult for an 89 year old.

Stay in control on sloping areas.
Delivery on flatbed delayed over week. Forklift placed where I wanted for uncrating. Took about 2.5 hours to dismantle metal crate and put the few pieces together. Well packaged. Understand the speed and control modes before using! Cut tall grass, some over 2 feet, with no problem and second pass left it looking great. Area was pretty rough so I cut at 4 1/2 inches. No problems encountered except getting temporarily stuck against a fence where the slope made it more difficult to control. The area mowed has a fairly significant slope to it. Needed to go slow in control mode to more easily track straightly, especially on sideways slope. Three mowings now and I’m very happy with it.

So Far OK
It was hard to steer but since I have never driven a zero turn I got my neighbor to try and he also had trouble steering he does have a zero turn. I looked in the manual and saw there was a way to adjust the steering to make it better which I did and it did make it better but still not great. I was mowing on speed two out of four and it overheated the battery and I had to wait about 10 minutes to start mowing again so far the grass is not very thick compared to what it’s gonna be in the summer. Worried.

Don't buy!!! Failed after a few months
Broke down in less than 60 days with rear wheel locking up. Warrant process was a nightmare. Had to drag it through my yard to be picked up tearing up my grass and injuring my shoulder. Then,it broke down a second time from "motherboard" failure, as I was told, in less than 21 total work hours after getting it back from warranty from wheel locking up. Placed warranty claim on May 24 and the broken down equipment is still sitting in my garage almost a month later with no communication from EGO.

So far, so good
We have several other EGO products that we love. Our noisy, gas sucking John Deere riding mower is 13 years old and so when the EGO Zero-turn came on the market we decided to purchase. Once you get used to driving a zero-turn it is a lot quicker. We mow over three acres and so once the batteries run low I take a break while the mower recharges. I think we will eventually buy two more batteries just to increase the run time. It appears EGO is ready to put the mulcher and bagger accessories on the market and I hope they are not too pricy. So nice not to have to run to the gas station for fuel every other week!
