I was expecting full Echo/ Echo Dot Alexa features but turned out that a number of features are either not yet implemented or may not be implemented, such as Spotify integration, call and announcement, routine features. The biggest let down is that the Switch+ I received is possibly defective. Wifi is constantly dropped. I have troubleshot everything I could and the conclusion is that the Switch+ has an issue. Just received the RMA from Ecobee and I'm really looking forward to a replacement switch with no wifi issue and hopefully new firmware with all the builtin features implemented and full Alexa integration.

Rated 5 out of 5 by J s f C from Remember you need NEUTRAL wire! Very sleek design! I love the way this switch looks. Installation was a complete breeze: taking off the old and installing the new in less than 30 minutes for me. Make sure you have a neutral wire otherwise this switch won't work. I currently have one installed in the bedroom and I ask Alexa for the weather every morning while getting ready for work. I have a second one in the kitchen so I can get Alexa to set timers, play music etc and have the lights on auto on when I walk in. The ecobee app is redesigned to control the ecobee thermostat as well as the switch+. I can see all the remote sensors, thermostat and switches and it's very easy to use. All in all, a great network of products.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jase from Great Functionality Alexa enabled, the Switch+ is a great way to simply connect your home without expensive home automation service. The device listens clearly without having you repeat your commands when you want to turn on or off a light, switch your EcoBee settings or check your local weather and news. Furthermore, the Switch+ also has some neat features without having been commanded, in night light and auto-on/off. This really helps when trying to navigate when you first enter a dark room. The only thing that I did wish more of our Switch+ is if it was Spotify enabled. All-in-all, I would definitely recommend the Switch+.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GUDADDY from A better way to sing in the shower! I beta tested these when they first came out and I loved it so much, I bought another one. Easy to install and set up was a breeze, took less than 20 minutes since I was very familiar with my switches. I have one in the kids’ play room in the basement and one in my second floor bathroom. The motion sensor feature is especially useful in the basement as I no longer have to trip over toys in the dark to get to the far switch. Having Alexa tell me the time, weather, traffic conditions, and play music while I shower has been very useful. I can’t wait for ecobee to release the with a dimmer switch option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Yuki from Wonderful Product, looks good & functions well Installation of the Switch+ is really easy. I installed all 3 of mine in less than 30 minutes each. Setup is very straightforward and integration with other apps is smooth as well. I currently have 1 switch set up in the bedroom and enjoy having the weather and news briefing every morning as I get ready. The fact that Alexa is integrated allows me to keep 1 less thing off my nightstand. The switch itself is sleek and modern looking and will fit into standard Decora style wall plates. I really like the fact that ecobee is constantly improving their products and listening to their users!

Rated 4 out of 5 by shimh from A smart+ light switch I got my Switch+ light switch several months ago. Besides many positive things already written in other reviews, I was quite surprised that my not so native English pronunciation was recognized by the Swtich/Alexa quite accurately, even over some distance. The alexa voice was quite loud and clear considering the size of the switch. It is very help to have it in the kitchen to be able to control the light and stuff like multiple timer by voice. Though, not its main use, the sound of music/radio streaming was a bit weak. I wish ecobee could work out a better loudness control by further compressing the dynamics of the music/radio. And we are still waiting for the function of switch+ as an ecobee sensor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by NorthernCuts from Great addition to ecobee lineup! I've owned (and enjoyed) using an ecobee thermostat for several years. I was very excited when I heard the company was working on a smart switch. I've been using it for around 6 months now and it's definitely become part of the home. The Good Voice control - I really thought this was going to be a gimmick, but we use it for almost daily weather forecasts and the ecobee/alexa system cooperate well with other smart products (Lutron in our case). I've got voice control to turn windows off and on, open and close my blinds. We love it. Aesthetics - The switch is nice looking but unassuming. I really like the nightlight feature. It's a near perfect fit with decora style switches, though face plates may need slight modification to fit flush to the wall over the Switch+. General function - It does exactly what its supposed to do - be a switch. It works by voice, it works by touch. Sometimes there doesn't need to be further complexity. To Improve Some areas I'd like to see improvements in... Dimming - A smart dimmer would be excellent. This just performs basic off/on functions. A dimmer switch would be a perfect addition. Two-way (or higher) configurations - These aren't currently possible with the Switch+. I had to adjust my intended install location as it was not compatible with the Switch+ - It needs to be a one way switch. Triggering Alexa - Alexa's ears must be burning because she chimes in a lot! The TV will activate her, as will normal conversation. This happens every 1-2 days, depending on who's over or what we happen to be doing near the switch. I haven't looked deep into options to lessen this occurrence, but my initial research didn't show any clear solutions. Additional Remote Sensor - This functionality has been mentioned, but is not yet active on the Switch+. It will be great to have it up and running as I can repurpose the current temp sensor in that room to another location. Overall, despite some of the opportunities for improvement, the Switch+ has been better than I expected, and has become firmly integrated into our home's larger smart device ecosystem. If you have a one-way switch in mind for replacement, this would be a great addition.

Rated 4 out of 5 by charettepa from Good Value for everything included *the good the switch itsself works well. the alexa implementation is much better than on the ecobee 4 the built in sensors are great *the bad when i bought this in March, we were promised full sensor integration with the ecobee thermostat as a room sensor by early summer. this has still not happened therefore i have not bought any more. also the public api is still not open so 3rd party apps still cant control the switch ie. home automation platforms *conclusion please activate the sensors in ecobee and open the api i will then buy more
