Description
This tamper resistant receptacle features a UL listed safety shutter system that prevents the insertion of foreign objects into a receptacle. The safety shutters will only open upon simultaneous insertion of 2 plug blades. Its longer and wider strap provides 40% more contact area to wall board virtually eliminating floating installations. It is made of high impact-resistant thermoplastic that eliminates breakage. The terminal screws are backed out and ready for wiring.
- Tamper resistant shutters provide compliance with 2017 and 2020 NEC® which requires that all 15A and 20A, 125V and 250V, non-locking type receptacles installed in dwelling units must be tamper resistant
- Longer, wider strap provides 40% more contact area to wall board, virtually eliminating floating installations
- Tri-combo screws accept Slotted, Phillips, and Robertson-head tools for installation flexibility
- Terminal screws backed out and ready for wiring
