Good purchase
I purchased this kit to vent our pellet stove that is located below ground. I purchased an additional 3 foot section and used all the kit components to vent the stove. I did use the silver tape around all the joints to prevent any smoke escaping at the joints. The silver tape works. Try it.
The cap that installs under the first T off the stove helps to undue the fly ash that accumulates in the pipes. After removing the cap, tap the tubes lightly and the fly ash will fall out.
the 3 inch pipes twist lock into one another. But, I would use the silver tape to prevent smoke and fumes from leaking out of the seams.

Pellet Stove Chimney Kit
This is the second of these kits we have bought. Last year we put a pellet stove in our house and this year we are putting a pellet stove in our daughters house. This kit has everything you need in one box except the chalk you will need to go around the pipes and thimble on the outside of the house. It does take some planning to figure out how to get the thimble through the wall and how to do it right once you have the thimble in the wall its easy peeze. Make sure you get foil tape to as an extra measure of security and put it on every seam joint. We did this just to be sure no smoke or carbon dioxide got back in our house. If you get a pellet stove this kit is a must.

Imperfect world, almost perfect chimney kit
The 3-in Pellet Stove Chimney Kit is almost perfect. The design is exceptional, goes together very easily and it is clear, safety was kept in mind. It is a good value and I highly recommend it. If I could change anything at all, literally the only thing I would change isn't really a change but an addition. I would add an extra one-foot pipe section in the box for those of us who want to have our pellet stove diagonal in a corner, since diagonal keeps the back of the stove further from the wall. Other than that, very satisfied.

Pellet stove through the wall kit
This kit comes with everthing that you need. Only a few small complaints, there is no piece in the kit that allows for any error meaning no collapsable pieces to make it easier to install. Also it comes with 5 one-foot sections which causes you to have multiple joints instead of let say a 3' section. The appliance adapter piece does not make a good seat on the back of the pellet stove so be prepared for that.

Should be included in kit
The one bad thing about this kit is that you have no choice but straight. If you want your stove in a corner, you have to buy another adapter for $60. to modify the straight connection. There should either be different kit-styles to choose from or more than one type of connection per kit. I am 75 and my son helped me with it. If I had to have done it alone, I wouldn't have been able to, although I do most everything else.

Extra parts
The kit was great but I needed a few more parts to fit my house design. I compared prices for extra parts with Home Depot and Lowes. A 90 degree elbow was twenty dollars more at Lowes than Home Depot for the exact same piece. Lowes kit was sixty dollars cheaper than Home Depot. I would recommend checking prices before you buy the first one.

Easy to install
I am extremely happy with this product. I installed it on my pellet stove along with a direct vent kit. I used very small amounts of high temp silicone caulking. I chose a through the wall method, which was adequate with the direct power vent attached on my stove. Make sure to verify your measurements and level for an accurate placement of the thimble for the pipe to go outside. There is some room for error, but, not too much.
I, like others on here, used a high temp primer and paint to dress the piping up some. You may need additional piping for your situation. My stove is zero clearance and the supplied parts were just enough to complete the job.
Like any contractor will say, get your plan together, make accurate measurements, double check yourself, then proceed.

So far, so good.
Purchased a pellet stove to keep our basement warmer and heat the floors of the house. So far it is doing the job. The temp in the basement went from 45 to 65 in one day. Now it is at about a steady 68 - 70 degrees. Using about a bag of pellets a day which to me seems average. Clean and easy to hook up. So far it sems to be doing what we want.
