Can I use this product on a wa behind my TV and electric fireplace?
Yes it would do well inside. It shrinks in winter outside and is quite noticeable on the vertical trim pieces. It fastens using screws or nails so nothing fancy. It's quite light so you could even get away with using drywall anchors if you needed to.

Visible Seams/ Corners don't Mount Flush
I installed this product back in 2011 when we did our siding. I thought it would add a splash of contrast to the siding at a lower cost to proper stone. The online photos showed a seamless appearance, but I'm of the mind those pictures were photo shopped. The actual product shows all the seams making it a dead giveaway to an inferior product. The corner pieces leave massive gaps. I was forced to screw them down, silicone the screw heads and gaps then paint over those repairs. I contacted the manufacturer, but they refused to reply in a timely manner - when they did, they offered no help. Words can't express my regret with this purchase.

Imitation Stone Foundation for Detached Garage
I used a single row of these panels to create the appearance of a stone foundation for my detached garage. The garage sits on a concrete slab and was sided with 70s era wood panels that needed to be replaced. I wanted to create the appearance of a foundation rather than run the new vinyl siding all the way to the ground and a single row of these panels did the trick. To make things easier, I still ran the vinyl corners all the way to the ground rather than use the corners that go with these panels because they were expensive and I couldn't see how to tie them in with the vinyl corners. Around the doors, I also ran the vinyl J trims all the way to the ground to help secure these panels and cover the cut edges. Once the panels were up (using the black starter strips on the bottom), I nailed the vinyl J trims through the top of the panels to cover the nail strip and start the vinyl sections (if you do this don't forget to drill some drainage holes along the bottom of the J trims otherwise rain that runs down the vinyl will pool in the J trims). If you have a shed or detached garage on slab like mine and want to give it the appearance of having a stone foundation, these will do the job and they look great.

Looks good but....
I installed this on 2 walls of my shed. It looks really nice when done but there are several issues with it:
1. The wastage is significantly higher than standard vinyl siding due to the need to interlock all pieces from left to right as well as bottom to top. This isn't bad if you have a wall with minimal disruptions such as doors and windows to work around. I covered approximately 90sqft of my shed in Novikstone sk and used 24 panels to do it (okay it was 26 panels but I screwed up 2, so I don't count those, I also made every effort to make cuts in such a way as to be able to reuse my off cuts. This takes a little pre planning). Based on that it was approx 33% wastage. At $25 or $30 a panel this adds up quick.
2. The trim only comes in 6' lengths which is super annoying because it means you have joints everywhere, especially around doors. This also increases wastage. The trim does not overlap nicely either.
3. Overall it is more tricky to work with due to the 3D contour of the "rock" panel, measuring and marking takes a little longer but not bad. As with regular vinyl siding, ENSURE you mount your circular saw blade backwards so it doesn't chip and break the panels.
I am happy with the look of the product now that it's done, but I don't think I would do it again unless it was on a plain wall.

Love it
We used it to make a backspkash over the counter in laundry room. The only issue I did have was the ends and how to hide them but for the most part this product met and exceeded my expectations.

adequate but expensive
Have used this product twice. Once for a privacy wall on my deck and last summer to skirt my pool bar. Easy to work with but there is a lot of waste if you don't plan ahead and get your measurements. The overall look is good and doesn't look cheap (cause it isn't!). Corner pieces not well engineered for a real good fit and finish. Overall a decent product for some projects but should not be considered if really want stone look.

amazing product
We purchased these panels to cover our deck in our backyard which we previously applied 1/2" moisture resistant plywood. We found it very easy to cut with a table saw and install with drywall screws. It looks great. The only thing we have to figure out is to install the corners on 135 degree angle. If you suggestions please send them to me.
