It works, but it's has serious problems.
"I am receiving a free accessory pack from Dremel in exchange for my honest review"
First, a micro-usb charging connector in 2020? Unbelievable.
The cover is a great idea, but mine won't go to position 3 without the disk hitting the cover, position 2 is too far recessed to easily grind my dog's nails. Is it defective or just bad design? The disk is all the way in, and the collar is all the way on.
The cover contains the grinding dust somewhat, but it need to be removed and cleaned after every second nail.
If I had purchased this from retailer that would also returns, I would return it for a refund.

Not great for little dogs because of design flaw.
Did Dremel have an engineer involved in the design? I would like this a lot except for a glaringly obvious design flaw. I can’t believe they overlooked the fact that you can’t use the guard attachment on the lowest (#3) setting. When pushed down as far as it can go the sanding disc sticks above the grey part of the guard making the disc contact the clear part of the guard if you try to put it on the #3 setting. This makes it so the disc can’t spin. My dogs are little so I need the lowest setting which makes this relatively expensive tool worthless to me. I could use it without the guard but my dogs are jumpy about nail clipping so the guard is a must. If you have bigger dogs and can use setting #1 or #2 it should work great for you.

AWESOME Product!
"I am receiving a free accessory pack from Dremel in exchange for my honest review. "
I'm wondering why I waited so long to get this!
I have five dogs and each one is different when getting their nails done but none of them like the clippers. I even have one that tries to bite me!
This product makes my life so much easier and makes nail trimming a breeze! I'm a beginner and my dogs are great with it! Easy to use and you may even be able to put yours to sleep while doing it! My Italian Greyhound did!
The more I use my Dremel the more confidence I have with taking care of my pets!
An excellent product that I highly recommend

Love it!
We got this a month ago and love it! It's not too loud so it doesn't scare the dog, but it still works fast enough on his nails that we aren't having to pin him down after he gets sick of it! . Our big dog on the other hand won't come near it- but he's always hated having his feet touched with a passion. He was eyeing us suspiciously as we trimmed Mooses nails. Overall I love it! The gaurd is great and if your dog tollerate foot touches I think this will work for you!

Dremel 7760 PawControl
I had an old Dremel that I needed to replace. As I was researching I noticed this model could be used to trim a dogs nails. The tool has a solid feel to it. It seems to be well built, very ergonomic, and way quieter that the Dremel it replaces. My Labrador was not afraid of the tools low pitched hum. It trimmed her nails easily without a fuss from her. All of my old attachments fit this tool. It was the perfect replacement purchase for my 10+ year old Dremel.

Great for beginners
I’m a beginner when it comes to nail grinding. We’re getting a second dog and I wanted to start doing their grooming at home because it would be too expensive to take them BOTH to the groomer over time.
As a beginner... this is SO easy to use! The guard makes it so easy to rest on the dog’s toe pad and grind down each nail. It is also much quieter than I thought it would be. My *very* skidding dog was okay with it!
I’m excited to be able to better care for our pups at home now. When the new puppy comes home, he will be used to this from the very beginning.

Very efficient!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finding a tool that gets the job done quickly and easily is what I’ve been looking for. As anxious as I was to use it, it took some time before our Macy trusted this new contraption. After many days getting her familiar with the sound and feel of the groomer (and numerous sniff tests), she trusted it to tackle her nails. I was surprised how quickly it gets the job done! It’s easy to handle, and the attachment helps to trim at the perfect angle. This grooming tool makes everything so much easier.

Design flaw with attachment
There is no issue with the actual grinder, but with the pet attachment. It is impossible to reach setting 3 on the clear cap - I ensured all attachments are assembled as required prior to putting on cap, but the cap is physically blocked by the sander disc. The manual’s directions for changing to the sanding disc instruct you to twist the cap to setting 3, so beyond the fact it exists there is intention to use it. I have a large dog and his nails are too big to safely and easily go into the safety cap. It’s hard to keep the nail stable and mainly just grinds the tip of nail. Dremel’s information about this product’s use is misleading.
