Rated 5 out of 5 by Hank47 from Powerful and Compact When changing the thermostat on my '97 Jeep Grand Cherokee, I broke off one of the bolt heads. After failing to remove the frozen bolt with other drilling solutions, I took the advice of an auto parts dealer and purchased a Dremel and a hard rotary file bit. The slim profile and variable power of the Dremel allowed me to access the bolt and drill the hole needed to successfully remove the bolt. I'm looking forward to using this tool for many other diverse projects. I purchased the corded model to make sure I wouldn't run into any issues with fading battery power. I'm really happy with this product.

I use it at work and have another at home. I have absolutely no qualms about recommending to anyone for use at home or work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TonyStark from Excellent product with tons of applications [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the tool while in my local hardware store as I had heard of the brand but was not sure how exactly I will use it. A few days later I was trying to sharpen some kitchen knives and decided to give Dremel a shot and was amazed when I was done in 5 minutes. Since then I have discovered tons of applications of Dremel rotary kit. From polishing my car's caliper pistons to cutting metal using the included disks, I rely on Dremel all the time. Recently, I have bought the oscillating tool as well but rotary is still my favorite as you can do so much with it. Every home should have one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kimm from wonderful tool when it works I bought this dremel a month ago for work. This was a replacement for a dremel (same model) that I had got almost 2 years ago. I really like this tool and use it everyday. I am a dog groomer and use it to file the dogs nails. When the first dremel stopped working I figured I would send it in to be fixed to use on my personal dogs and I would purchase a new one for work. I used the new dremel for LESS than a month and it stopped working Christmas Eve Eve, the busiest time of the year for groomers! I needed a working one now so I returned the stupid thing back to where I purchased it and they replaced it. There is obviously an issue with the switch to turn it on because that is what stopped working on both dremels. Hopefully this dremel will work long enough for me to find another tool.

My wife bought me the Dremel 4000 6/50 for father's day, and it was an incredible gift. The accessories are very well made, and the tool has more power than ever. I really have to load it down to make it work hard. I use it for furniture making, plumbing, electrical, and glass engraving with the extension shaft accessory. I am amazed by the versatility of this machine, and look forward to using it for many, many years.
