Finally no more cord
I never used my old dremmel cause it was a hastle. I had to pull it out set it up plug it in just to use it for a 10second job. If its not convenient it's not going to get used on a regular basis. That's why we all use cordless drills ect. So I got this dremmel it's just as fast as my corded dremmel but the ease of battery operated tool. This thing works great ice now used it more in a few days then my old dremmel in years. Also no cord gives you freedom of movement when useing the tool as well as where I use the tool. No more extension cords if I needed more than 4ft from a plug. If you buy this you'll have a tool you will love.

Dremel 8220 kit
Best price anywhere.
Rapid communication within hours after I placed the order on the internet. Was ready for pick up via a courtesy phone call. Very professional.
I finallly got to use the product on 03-19-16, i would have been stranded if i did not purchase this item after a challenging new car trailer hitch installation which needed cutting modification. A blade would not cut it no matter what.
Dremel came to the rescue and made a challenging job an easy one at that.
Best product to purchase with lithium power battery.
Will recommend highly, remember, Lithium is best.

Great for Hobbyists
ended up purchasing this cordless unit due to the fact that I am now older, but still enjoy my hobbies (including To Gauge Modeling).
This is light enough for me to handle (I have arthritis in my hands and it has a hand size to be comfortable for me to hold but a little pain in the extra weight)
and it is easy enough for me to change out the bits as well (I like the variable speed and the control I have with a tool like this)
The one ding is that the little rotary sanding discs do loosen quickly in use, don't stay in place on their drum.
Also it is a bit tough for someone with arthritis in their hands to use the "quick change" .. I just don't have the manual dexterity I did a couple decades ago (so it is hard for me to change between sand disc and cut disc (For instance)

the freedom to do a job anywhere
I spent a good while looking at different dremel tools and this one has an edge over all of them: portability. I was a bit worried about weather or not the battery would last long enough to complete the work I was doing and I have to say that for the power output that this delivers its pretty amazing. I'm averaging about 30 min at 30,000 rpm and it also puts out a decent amount of torque. I would strongly recommend getting the flex tool along with this.

Handy cordless tool
I use this mainly for cutting and grinding metal. I am a professional locksmith and constantly need to shorten bolts and screws, modify strikes and bezels, and cut and shape various other metal components. I like to use the Dremel and the E-Z Lock wheels better than a hack saw for speed and cutting accuracy.

Handy Tool
I am working on tiling my bathroom and this tool has come in handy. I needed something to cut small holes in tile and the hole saw diamond bits were expensive. Buying 2 different size diamond coated hole saw bits and the arbor for them would have bought this dremel. Just seemed like better value for my money. I get more out of this dremel than I would the hole saws.

Great tool
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use one of these on Habitat for Humanity house builds. It's great for trimming vinyl siding, cutting the various details to fit siding around windows, doors, and other wall penetrations. We like battery operated tools so we don't have to drag an extension cord around the house. The battery lasts more that 1/2 a day, so as long as we remember to charge the battery at lunch, it's great. Only complaint is that I wish it came with 2 batteries. It's such a great tool, I bought one for myself!
