Does not work with an 8260
I bought an 8260 recently and this was the first accessory purchased to go with it. They are not compatible without forcing the rotary tool and damaging it or the workstation in doing so.

Like a third hand
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for precise work. It’s like having a third hand to help you get the project just right.

A must for crafters
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has allowed me to precisely drill into projects that I've been working on without added stress of wondering if I'm going to make the whole and the correct spot.

Super useful, steady, and stable!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just like you want your spouse to be! This is a very reliable addition to my carving tool family. It especially helps with my low vision/depth perception challenges. My work is better, and my fingers are safer!

More than just a Drill Press
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for use as a drill press and it is great for that. I can drill into beads, shells, stones, etc. along with other materials such as wood, plastic, or metal with very small bits that will not work in my standard drill press. The fact that the "press" comes assembled with the gearing, springs, and lever inside of a protective case means that you do not have to mess around with it to make it work.
The workstation also allows for the rotary tool to be held stably at up to a 90-degree angle while I use both hands to hold a workpiece for buffing or sanding.
The workstation will also allow the tool to be hung while using the flexshaft for carving or grinding instead of vibrating off of my work bench.

Great quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this with the expectations of gettin a 4300 Dremel tool to install permanently in it. Been wanting this since I discovered it existed.
Have lots of projects awaiting it's use.

Very useful for small an detailed work
I've had this work station for so long that I forgot when I bought it. It's been at least 10 years. Making clamps and fences for it is easy and really adds to it's capability. I mounted mine to a piece of 3/4" plywood, as I have done with other similar size tools in my small workshop. The ply wood bases fit in a slot in my workbench.
Keep the tool close to the piece you are working on! The tool tip should be no more than 1/4" from the piece you are working on. Don't force it. Let the tool work at it's own speed. With the right jigs, you aren't limited to just drill bits. When you get used to the work station and setting the correct tool speed, you can do a lot, including sanding and edging.
Next, I'm getting the plunge router base.
