Description
This Airflow LVT dimpled underlayment creates an air gap under your vinyl planks allowing for moist air to evaporate, thereby reducing mould growth under your floors. The closed cell foam provides a thermal break and insulation against cold concrete. Compressive strength of 8,000 lbs/sq. ft.
- Moist air is constantly coming in through little cracks in the concrete floors and walls
- Dimples create an air gap between your LVT floors and the concrete slab
- This air gap allows moist air to evaporate thereby reducing the possibility of unhealthy mold growth
- The dimples are encapsulated in a closed cell foam which is waterproof and keeps your floors warm and comfortable
- DMX Airflow LVT has a compressive strength of 8000 lbs per square foot
- The low profile dimples provide structural support for LVT joints and resist vertical movement on a level floor
- DMX Airflow LVT does not require a moisture test in the concrete like other foam underlayments

In regards to DMX 1-Step 2.0, you can install Lauan with our product, as long as it is 5/8" thick.

DMX 1-Step 2.0 is designed to be used with LVP (5mm or greater), laminate, and engineered hardwood flooring. It is meant to be installed between the concrete and any type of flooring mentioned above.

Regarding DMX 1-Step 2.0, it is not designed to be used with carpet tiles. Our product is designed for LVP (5mm or greater), laminate, and engineered hardwood flooring.
Carpet tiles can be installed on DMX Carpet Pad, which has been designed specifically for carpeting.

Does this DMX Airflow LVT work as same as DMX Airflow Premium 4mm? Can Luxury vinyl planks be laid directly on top of it?
Makes noise underneath the vinyl, no vinyl under 6mm should be used with it

How think is this problem product? ? mm I’d like to use it on wood subfloor, I have a crawl space underneath. But I’m trying to bring up this side by 1/4” to match up with the other existing flooring. Is this ok?
I need to know the height it is or the profile 1/8” or 1/4” or more please.

Is it available for a vinyl plank of a basement? Many say that vinyl plank dislikes underlayment due to some problems and must be installed on concrete without underlayment. I'm concerned that cold and mold. Is this product is good for vinyl plank?
This is an excellent underlay for vinyl planks. And will discourage any mould and mildew from growth. Says on the packaging for vinyl as well. But from experience it’s an excellent product for vinyl and laminate.

So Far, So Good
I'm installing this RIGHT NOW in Ohio. I had to drive to Canada to get it. I've put down about 700 square feet so far (of 1,000 square feet) and it's pretty easy to work with after a brief learning curve.
It comes in rolls, so it wants to curl a little and lays slightly wrinkled, but I don't think it will be a problem when laying the LVT flooring.
I can tell that it feels slightly warmer than the concrete floor below it.
It fits my needs perfectly at only 4mm thick, an R-value of 1.3, and a pressure rating of about 55 PSI.

Easy to install and comfortable to walk on
Bought this for our basement.. seems to make the floors feel warmer and nice to walk on. I like the fact that it allows for airflow under floor.

Works Great!
Two Lowe's associates at the Queensway Lowes recommended this product for my basement project, and I could not be happier. After some research it was suggested that having an air gap will prevent mold growth in my basement (which is the reason I took my original flooring out to begin with). Big thanks to John & Anthony for helping me find the right product for my beautiful Centurion vinyl. I will update the review if anything changes.

Easy install, buy your own tuck tape (yes Candian)
Super easy to cut and install. The tape that comes with the product does not secure well. I bought the red tuck tape to tape it down instead. Since this is a basement project I wanted to ensure that the tape sticks well. Please provide a better quality tape then I would give it a five.

Absolutely terrible to install
Installing this currently in my basement and this stuff is awful to work with. Rolls are rolled from factory the opposite way of install, and the tape they provide is garbage. Hopefully this stuff works well for the moisture.
