Great Machine
Assembly was easy all the hardware was in the holes it need to be in. You will need a 10mm and 13mm ratchet. It comes with open ended wrenches. I worked it all day and only clogged it when I stuffed a bunch of palms in it. One at a time was fine but not a fist full. Otherwise it ate oak all day and magnolia with out issue. The machine will auto feed saplings and be careful with the shredder it will try to rip your hand off. Throw the small stuff at it and were gloves and glasses. I have no complaints. You just have to respect the machines limits and you will have no issues. Well worth waiting 3 weeks for it. The ship it via pony express. Don't believe the web site when they say it will be in store pick up in 3 days. It took 3 weeks.

Great residential wood chipper.....
After using this chipper for a few hours and learning it's capabilities I am more than impressed on what it can handle. Starts with one pull and very easy to maneuver. I bought it on sale as well so I hit the bonus round......Great investment..

Nice machine
Delivered with all required parts, ready to assemble. Started on the first pull. I had two jams during my first use. Both I consider novice operator error. A large branch should be fed slowly, otherwise a large chunk might jam the blades. And, watch the exhaust chute to ensure all chips are expelled before adding more material, otherwise the chute and cutting housing may fill with chipped material. Both jams were easily cleared with minor disassembly and removal of the jammed items. Ran well after those learning events.

Works Great
This is my first wood chipper and it is working great. I have used it for the past 3 weekends and have no complaints. The unit starts right up and handles everything I have tried. For the larger pieces I think you just need to take your time and feed a little bit at a time so unit can recover. Chipping still goes by quickly. Some people have mentioned that it is hard to re-start a warm engine but I do not have that issue. Setting the choke and throttle correctly gets it started right up every time. I am not disappointed by this purchase and recommend

Good Backyard Chipper
It was really easy to put together once i figured out how to open the crate. They really sealed it good for shipping! 5 Pieces took me about 30 minutes. All tools included. HINT! put the oil in BEFORE step 4. Even with a funnel its a pain at that angle. ( oil not included)
The machine itself is really nice, not that loud, easy to use, easy to move ( I move it by hand ) it literally takes the trees / branches right out of your hand!
The biggest problem is it's advertised at 3 inches, 2.5 is about all it can handle without REALLY struggling or staling out all together.
Still, a good piece of equipment I'll really put it to work this fall.
Bought this because I cut my own firewood, got sick of the brush pile in the woods, and i can also use the shavings for my chicken coop! Over all, I'm happy I bought it. 8 out of 10.

Works well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This chipper works very well so far. It doesn't like green pines needles, too sticky and you have to be careful not to over load it. We didn't need it for anything very big in diameter so we are happy with it.

Troublesome
Opened product from crate with a broken oil plug. Got replacement, then started and ran it for 10 minutes, but then one of the bolts that held the manifold exhaust on broke. Still trying to get warranty figured out. Can't understand operator, and takes 3-4 days for a response.

After owning other chippers I really like the all steel construction, tow ability, and overall performance of this shredder. I purchased it after an Ice storm and it shredded all my small limbs. My mulch pile is quite large and it starts easily every time.
