Description

The OPC525 5-inch kinetic chipper is powered by a KOHLER® Command PRO® CH395 9.5HP 277cc engine and features dual swing chutes, double edge reversible high-speed cutting blades, bearing-mounted ATV tires and rims and built in toolbox with an extended load chute with safety e-stop.

The engine delivers 13.9ft/lb torque for superior cutting performance, and the dual V-belt direct drive and kinetic cyclonic drum pulverize up to 5-inch diameter trees. The tool-free dual swing chutes quickly open for easy drum access. The feed chute features dual integrated handles for easy equipment moving, and finally this machine comes equipped with a quick-drop stand, and a 1 7/8-in ball removable tow bar to move around job sites with ease.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Phil from Great Machine for the Homeowner! I bought this for my two-and-a-half-acre yard that has lots of trees on it. With each strong wind, another bites the dust. I have used it roughly 25 hours in this first month since the purchase. Typically I had to wait for the cut tree to dry to burn it quickly, now with the chips, I scatter them on my burn pad and a few days later, poof they go. Although I have not tried to push the boundaries of the machine, I have no doubt it could handle a 5" limb. I do put in entire 3" limbs around fifteen feet long and those are no problem. I put my yard cart right in front of the chute and it saves me time and trouble of dragging the fallen tree/branches to the chipper.
