Rated 4 out of 5 by Wabba from Rips rusty bolts out with ease Bought about a year ago when I had to disassemble some large swing sets for relocation and had no access to power for air tools. These are built with good size bolts, 1/2" or larger, and have been sitting in the weather since 1996. The Dewalt wrenches ripped the old hardware out like they were toys! By the end of the job the batteries were still showing close to full power and I reassembled the toys on the same charge with the new hardware. They have held up great and worked well on many other jobs since. The only downside to this wrench is that it is a bit bulky and heavy, I see there are now XR versions that are a nicer size, but can't complain about how this unit performs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Melly from Great Tool This is a great addition to my mechanic tools in my garage and I can take it with me on the go for any emergencies that may come up. Powerful enough for all my needs. I had a few car projects that needed doing (tires, motor mount, changing idler pulley, etc.) and the job was much easier with the use of the torque wrench. Glad I bought it! Was a little disappointed that it did not come with battery and charger so the cost was a bit more than I had expected.

The only issue I have is that the forward and reverse switch is not positioned well, IMO. The tool is hefty, which causes gravity to pull it down into the saddle of my hand when I grip it. The result is that I am regularly bumping the switch from forward to reverse. This problem is made worse when I wear gloves.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rob from Great product. I definitely would recommend. It’s a great product. Pretty strong. Not as powerful as an air impact. But it’ll get you out of a jam. Bring a breaker bar just in case.. I work on larger equipment than automobiles. This half inch impact is great for my truck and my wife’s car though! I recommend this product to anyone that works on vehicles.

I utilized it on my 1971 El Camino wheels. The Dewalt 1/2 impact work d flawlessly. Well worth the investment. Mr Fixit

Rated 5 out of 5 by JoeSixpack from The type of solid tool you'd expect from Dewalt This 20v L-ion unit is in most ways a duplicate of the older 18v NiCad XRP that has been very reliable for my uses. The difference is the battery system which seems to charge well and hold a charge much better than the older 18v NiCads. Otherwise, most standard lug nuts come off just as before. I don't use either the new or old one on heavy equipment so I can't tell how well they would work on that.

I use it on just about every car project I do and it has only failed to remove a rusted on 3/4”-16 nut one time, and I didn’t have a fresh battery so that may have helped. It has outperformed multiple air impacts and is easier to handle. The only downside is the retaining pin, once you put a socket on, it is extremely difficult to take it off. I understand this is most likely due to the impact and I would much rather it stays on than comes off all the time. Anyway, great tool! Thanks DeWalt!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Q from Dewalt affordable power I use the impact professionally and it has the power for 85% of my mobile needs . Unless the lug nuts are on ridiculously, it will power them off. The battery lasts and I like the added plus of the small beam of light for those dark situations . The only complaint I have is that the impact is a little too heavy and not balanced. Note ** if you find yourself not able to remove a stubborn lug , switch to a shallow socket ...works much better
