Description

Rated 5 out of 5 by Patrick from Nice Upgrade Purchased to replace a 10+ y/o stainless shop vac. Reviews for new version of that unit are not favorable so stepped over to the Dewalt unit. Very solid unit. like the four wheels over three, quick assembly, (tiny instruction images but effective enough) Quiet compared the other vacs I have and have used through the years. Also since i deal with mainly saw and filler dust, the bag option is something I am ready to try. (Think home vacuum bag in a 16 gallon size) The storage bag and provided accessories are a handy bonus. Will have to see how the handle mount holds up over the years with the smaller screws, but all in all this is a great shop companion!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ella from Using as a wet vac A second review was needed. I did a first review doing dry and it was eh. I tried it with water cleaning. Soaking a cement floor with water and soap, scrubbing and then sucking up the muck and water. This is where this machine EXCELS! Wow! It has made the second half of this crawlspace cleaning so much easier. For dry suction I gave this 3 stars. For wet, I'd give it more than 5, but that's the highest it goes. The right tool for the right job, yes? Well, this is the right tool for muck and water. I don't know why it didn't work so well with dust and dry stuff, but life is good now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Drake from Good, but room for improvement Good suction. Instruction manual is completely useless. They could’ve done a better job with the design of the tool bag attachment to the drum so that it did not indent into the drum so much if at all. My biggest issue… The hose has a swivel just after attaching to the drum. A second swivel at the tool end of the hose would be extremely helpful. Even with the swivel by the drum the hose tends to twist up as you try to rotate the nozzles at the end. If I could find an aftermarket attachment with a swivel to put on the tool end of the hose I would buy it in a heartbeat. The hose itself is not terribly flexible either.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Eddie from AlthoughThis vacuum has a slimmer design compared to other 16 gallon vacuums It does have a few negatives: Front wheels are not very maneuverable and tend to get stuck on the slightest groove in the floor. There is no ground prong on the electrical cord, I have been zapped multiple times while using this product as the static electricity has no way to be grounded while operating the machine. The black accessory bag is poor quality and is shredding apart. Replacement cartridges are not universal Exhaust filter is of poor quality

Rated 3 out of 5 by 8888 from ** The construction is good and the suction is great. It’s relatively quiet for a vacuum, however, I’m a bit disappointed with the length of hose. I find that wherever I move the hose is too short and pulls the vacuum canister into my heels. The hose swivel is also on the wrong end of the hose. It’s connected at the canister where it doesn’t seem to swivel at all instead of at the attachment end where it would be more effective. The hose cannot be turned around either as the latch to the canister is attached to the swivel end. Until I can at least find a longer hose that fits, and hopefully a swivel for the other end, this vacuum is sitting in the corner of the garage collecting dust, but….not in the way it was intended to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Karen Bee from This is a mean machine! I purchased this to use for general cleaning, but I also purchased a generic attachment to clean my gutters. This worked great. it has plenty of power to pick up all the debris in the gutters, even the dried up sludge that settles at the bottom. Got the job done in a few hours and then it was a simple matter to take the top off and lift the vac up and dump the dry debris into the yard waste container...done. Cleaned up the filter and put it away. Great purchase. Good value for the money.
