Description
Track your Dewalt 20 V Max cordless tools with the Tool Connect connector. This DCE040 connector permanently attaches onto the foot of the tool to prevent removal. Simply slide the connector onto the tool foot and then slide the battery onto the connector. Its ultra-slim design does not interfere with the tool/s ease of use and adds virtually no additional weight. This accessory's 3-part inventory management solution includes the app and Inventory Manager web portal that work together to help you better communicate updates from the field to the office. You will get updates regarding the whereabouts of tools, materials and equipment, meaning your assets are tracked during the day to prevent losses and make them easier to manage.

Good little device
Suggest to add option in tool app to change the device icon, if I got few more of this device linked to the app will be very hard to identify them by look at the icons.

Save your money this is USELESS
Wow what a great idea. It sucks. It will not connect with to useless DeWalt App.
I have wasted hours and directions or help is not visible.
SAVE YOUR MONEY AS NOW I HAVE A TOOL WHICH IS HEAVI+ER AND DOES NOT WORK!!!

Great to manage tools
I have now purchased 3 of these connectors. It permanently attaches to your 20v Max tools. It allows you to not only keep track of your tools and identify them, but it also allows you to kill power to the tool if it gets too far away from your device. Easy to set up on the app, and it adds virtually no extra weight to the tool. I can safely loan my tool to someone knowing that if it's not returned by a set time, the tool will quit working until returned.
