Can't Beat the Mobility
I'm a sucker for Dewalt 20V tools because they have always been top-notch in my opinion. This one is no different. I was building a new chicken coop (a little nicer than the usual coop lol) at a pretty remote location and to have this thing rocking with no cords, etc was awesome and saved me a ton of trips. The battery life is way better than my circular saw because you line up and cut- rather than with the circular saw I'll have the motor run a second or two as I line and cut. That little bit of time over 200 cuts saves a lot of battery power. Great tool- it's expensive, no question, but no worse than a new corded miter saw.

Extremely Happy With This Saw!
I have several Dewalt cordless tools but was a little skeptical on purchasing a mitre saw as I wasn't sure it would be powerful enough. No issues there. It's no different than the corded Craftsman saw I've had for years.
I cannot believe how much I love using a miter saw and not having to worry about a cord. I make furniture and do a lot of DIY stuff around the home. This is perfect for me. It's rugged and easy to carry around since it's so light weight. I have never liked a lazer but the shadow line feature is superb.
You will not be disappointing if you buy this saw.

Quiet and clean cuts
I expected much less, but this has proven to be a pretty powerful tool. I'm very satisfied with the clean-cut it makes. The motor does not bog down when cutting a 2x4's and that's what I need. The slide bearings make a nice smooth push over a 1x6. The angle preset detents are accurate and you don't have to continually check it.
Nice small compact design for easy setup and storage. The large body xr 6 amp batteries fit. I would buy it again.

Worth every penny
This saw does big work in a small package. I’ve been borrowing my dad’s for a while and recently decided to get my own. When I first borrowed it I questioned how long it would last on a single charge. I use a 5ah battery with it and it’ll last close to or well over 8 hours of work. It all depends on how much cutting I do of course. Most of my cuts are pressure treated 2x4 wood, and there’s no hold up once the blade is sharp. I’m anxious to see how it’ll work with cutting crown molding as I got a new gig on the way. My only concern is if the 7&1/4” blade is big enough for those long angled cuts. However I don’t see why not! I love this tool.

Fantastic Saw!!
This saw I have had about 6 months now and I'm very impressed not only by the quality but by how many cuts I get on 1 charge. I have several of the 20v tools so I have 7 batteries but this saw with the 4.0 ah battery I literally can make cuts on 200 5/4 pressure treated deck boards or more. I have an 8 1/2" hitachi slider that's great but with this saw I'm not tripping over cords or limited to 100 ft from an outlet, which also makes clean up that much faster too. The standard 1.5ah black battery that comes with a lot of the drills Etc still lasts a very long time...... 75-80 cuts depending on what I'm cutting, pine 3/4 boards I might get closer to 100. It does not lack for power and because it's a 7 1/4" blade replacements are everywhere and 1/2 the cost of a decent 10" blade.

Great Saw
I replaced an aging Ryobi 18 volt from about 10 years ago. Not much choice back then. I have several Dewalt 20v tools that I use daily, so having batteries and chargers already in my toolbox helped with the decision to go with this saw. Its also very reasonably priced. I work mostly residential window covering installations and need to cut and miter occasionally. The portability is what I need. The first time out of the box I was blown away by the solid feel and then the power. It cut treated 2x4s with ease. So excited. Nearly as good as my home saw thats a plug in. Anyway, I highly recommend it. My other dewalt tools get used a lot harder and have never failed me.

Suprised at its capabilities
Purchased this saw for quick trim work and portability. Need something lighter to carry and set up, instead of lugging the full size 12" saw and stand from truck to job every day. Overall I have been pleasently suprised at both the power and capabilities of this saw. Have used this saw for small and large trim work to everything to composite deck boards. Has cut everything I have thrown at it very well. I generally use a 6 amp 20v battery and it lasts most of the day depending on the job. Having 2 will carry thru the day completly. With a sharp blade it cuts everything like butter and 0 bog down. The rails are still tight and I have now run this at least a 1000 hrs.
Not having a cord is a beautiful thing!!!

Great for the size
This is the perfect saw for small to mid-size projects. I’m often helping family and friends with projects and have found the compact size and minimal weight of this saw a huge plus. The portability cannot be over stated. I have a 12” craftsman slider as well for larger stuff but it rarely gets used now. Accuracy of the cuts is better then I expected compared to my 8 year old craftsman. For the homeowner doing baseboards and other projects this is a great choice; especially if you’re already invested in the Dewalt line.
