Nice saw, disappointing clamp system
I have owned a few different miter saws over the years and the clamps are pretty standard that come with most saws. I decided to go for a nicer saw, thinking it would be the cadillac of saws and also wanted a double bevel. The saw has a nice smooth cut and I feel it is worth the money because I do feel safer operating it. I knocked off a star because am not liking the clamp set up and was surprised there was no side bars. When making bevel cuts the clamp is very hard to use because it gets in the way and you cannot make the bevel cut, it is also not as easy to use as most of the standard set ups. I had to buy a C-clamp to help me get my project done. Overall it is nice saw.

Great saw for the price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The saw was accurate right out of the box. I checked with my square and everything was right on. It's fairly easy to handle compared to other saws. Dust collections is very good which is historically a problem with all saws, even with dust ports. This saw has plenty of power to handle any job I can throw at it. To cut large lumber you need a slide saw or circular saw but this saw does what it is built to do and does it well. There is no laser or light but again, it is built how it is built. I'm an old timer to that doesn't bother me. If you want a laser you can buy it as an add on but they aren't cheap. This is a great miter saw and I got it at a great price.

Compound Miter Saw
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I took on a project that required lots of trim work. At first I purchased a straight Miter saw (also Dewalt), but after considering the capabilities especially w crown molding I decided to switch to this saw. I never open my original saw box. It works really well and came with a nice blade suitable for the finer cuts trim work require. The Lowe’s people have been super helpful with all the purchases for my project. Thx guys, and gals.

Great Professional Miter Saw
I’m a finish carpenter and I use a chop saw all day long and this one is excellent. Great for hooking up a dust collection system to it, good clearance when cutting different materials, and lightweight compared to the older Dewalt miter saws. The only thing I don’t like about this saw is that the old ones have a hole to store the wrench in and the new ones don’t have that hole for some reason so I have to keep the wrench in a toolbox so I don’t lose it. Other than that it’s a great saw and I’d say it’s even the best saw on the market for people who use it for a profession.

Incorrect description
Description says this comes with “ Integrated Cutline LED work light system provides adjustment-free cut line indication for accuracy and visibility”. This is not true. This wasn’t a feature on this saw and the one feature I actually wanted, which is why I bought it. Disappointed.

Upgraded Miter Saw
Need this larger saw with taller fence to cut large profile crown molding. I had previously built an entire deck with a smaller, cheaper saw without trouble, but this saw is so much better in many ways. It locks in place firmly on common angles. The included hold-down clamp is fast and easy to use. Total weight of the saw is within my personal lifting limit. The fence - like I said - is tall and very useful. Unlike many entry-level tools, the dusk collector bag actually collects a respectable amount of dust. Not a bad price for a tool that gets the job done smoothly and easily.

No Cutline LED
Seems like a nice saw, but the description is incorrect: "Integrated Cutline LED work light system provides adjustment-free cut line indication for accuracy and visibility". It does not have this feature, and it was the reason I wanted this saw. Will be returning immediately.

Easy to use, Smooth cut
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Most of my power tools are Dewalt. I’ve been very happy with the quality of these tools. This is my second Dewalt compound mitre saw. I beat the heck out of the other one. It never let me down and was still running great when I gave it away. Had it for nearly 12 years and used it practically daily. I bought this one to replace it and it’s working just the same as my previous one. I like the fact I can cut through 4 x 4’s with ease and the double bevel cut makes it easier to cut harder angles on crown moulding.
