Description

DEWALT once again proves itself a leader in manufacturing hand tools and accessories with its 8 1/4-in 40-tooth tungsten carbide-tipped steel circular saw blade. With 40 tungsten carbide-tipped steel teeth, this circular saw blade has exceptional durability and wear resistance. In addition, its design features a reinforced shoulder for impact resistance in nail-embedded wood. The plate also features patented slots that reduce vibration against the material you/re cutting, giving you a smooth finish with every cut. Coated with ToughCoat anti-stick coating, this blade is easy to clean. The coat also prevents pitch and resin from gumming up and dulling the blade.
  • High-density tungsten carbide for toughness, wear-resistance, and long life
  • Optimized for use on both corded and cordless circular saws
  • Thin kerf design for smooth cuts
  • Patented body slots reduce vibration for exceptional feel
  • ToughCoat(TM) anti-stick coating reduces friction and gumming
  • Reinforced shoulder for improved carbide support and impact resistance in nail-embedded wood

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Kade works adequately but kerf spec spec? [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] How about updating the Dewalt website page with a useful spec like kerf width! Riving knife thickness is dependent on it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works with the DWE7485 Table Saw The product is worth 4-stars but the information available on any given website is either wrong, misleading, or absent which is why I'm going to answer about the DWE7845 compatibility issue here and give Rona the only correct information on the web. The confusion is mainly regarding whether it will work with the standard riving knife of the Dewalt 8-¼" table saw - the DWE7485. I'm telling you here it does. Let me dispel some errors. I've seen websites claim the product is 0.47" wide (half an inch?!) which I assume is a typo for 0.047" which is still incorrect. Callipers tell me 0.067". Further, the kerf is labeled as "thin kerf" and I've seen information floating around that it's 0.071" (which I can't confirm but I doubt the kerf is only 0.04" wider than the blade). Either way, it is much wider than another thin kerf blade I bought then had to return because it was too thin for the riving knife. In this image I made shallow cuts into some scrap wood to compare the kerfs of the two aforementioned blades. The left is the other brand, and the right is the DeWalt, which is obviously wider. After using this for some test cuts, I can assure you it does not pinch the riving knife at all. Enjoy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellente lame sur toute la ligne! Quelques utilisations m’ont permis de constater les qualités indéniables de cette lame sur ma Co scie d’établi DeWalt! Des coupes nettes et sans efforts!
