Very good portable saw
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used it to finish a deck and complete some work because my old one was no longer working. For the price, it worked very well and I was happy with it. My only hesitancy in raving about it was that I have a couple 6AH batteries that do not fit in this saw. The 6AH battery has a part on it that keeps it from fitting in the saw, so I had to use a 3AH battery. Not the end of the world, but I have multiple 6AH batteries and only 1 3AH, so it wasn't as convenient to trade out the batteries as they wore down. But, overall, I am very pleased with it for the convenience of a battery operated circular saw.

The next best thing to a table saw.
This is no table replacement, of course, but what it was designed to do it does with ease. Sometimes you'll get some kickback when cutting through knots but that's just the way it is with hand saws like this.
The compact design of the 6.5 inch blade means this thing is compact and will fit in some really weird places, and it's lightweight enough to use pretty much all day without killing your arm. The chuck is neatly tucked away near the handle so it's always with you when you need to pop in a new blade, just make sure you get a fine toothed one, especially for hardwood like bamboo, as this thing has some kick to it and it could fray a board.

Another Great Dewalt Product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cordless circular saw is very handy and powerful enough. I used it to cut through 1/2" hardwood strip flooring, level with the subfloor for removal. Sometimes I got a little hangup hitting a staple, but that was expected with a cordless (it is fairly light weight and does not have a ton of torque). It is also easy to adjust the blade heigh. I used the larger 20V battery because this will go through a small battery pretty quick depending on the type of job. I have mostly Dewalt cordless tools and this is another great one. Their 20V line up of cordless tools is very handy.

WOW!
I had been a remodeler for over 20 years, and now do mostly home projects. Finally decided to get serious about cutting out the corded tools this past year. Purchased this saw to complete the set of 20VMax tools I have been accumulating. All I can say is WOW! It is quickly becoming my circular saw of choice. Last several projects I had going I didn't even bother getting out the big DeWalt 7 1/4" professional model that has been my preference for so many years.
this saw is light weight, extremely portable and has more than enough power and accuracy for the vast majority of construction needs. As far a battery life, I purchased 2 4 AH and 2 5AH batteries when I was collecting the 20V Max tools and this saw will go a long way on a 5AH battery. I can see where the smaller batteries might run out of juice more quickly.
Highly recommended!

I love this saw.
I'm upgrading all my cordless tools from old Crafstman 19.2v system to DeWalt tools. I have bought a lot of power tools and outdoor line trimmers blowers etc, all DeWalt. I wanted a small circular saw so I chose this one cause it will still cut a 45 on a 2x4. Man is it sweet! It's light, powerful easy to hold and it has a blade brake that stops the blade as soon as I let the trigger off, which feels safe. This is one of my favorite tools now.

Perfect for small jobs
I'm a pro that demands full power from his tools at all times. This saw is made for small jobs and I really like it for that. It can handle 3/4" plywood but battery usage goes down fast and the 6-1/2" blade wears out fast too (it's thinner than a 7-1/4"). It comes with me when I'm going to cut only a few studs on a small project.

Works well for light jobs.
Great cordless convenience while having enough grunt for 2x cutting. Thin curf blade makes this possible while extending battery life. If you need to make long rip cuts, use a heavy corded worm drive 7 1/2" saw. Overall, this saws works well for light to medium duty cutting chores where cord plugs not convenient. This is a serious tool.

Excellent quality
Excellent quality and the newer 20v Li-ion units last a lot longer on the job site than the older Ni-Cad units they replaced.
