I can't believe how quiet it is.
At first I thought the vacuum suction would decrease considering how quiet it is. I was wrong. It actually has exceptional suction power for all my needs. I'm amazed at how quiet it is compared to my craftsman. My Craftsman would clogged at least once per use on a heavy duty clean up projects. With this quiet DeWalt shop vac, I really can have a conversation with someone nearby and actually hear my phone ring as well! I can definitely see the other competitors adopting the quiet technology towards their shop vacs in the near future. I would definitely recommend this to all who are contemplating purchasing it.

This sucks
Wow for how quiet this is I though it would not be too powerful, but I was wrong I tried to clean an area rug and it would pick up the carpet and this was a 5by7 rug. this also sucks up water quick. The sound of air coming out of this thing is the loudest part of this shop vac I was in my car and all I heard was the air coming from the house. So if you want a power quiet shop vac then this is for you. Note do not go by what it says about inventory online it said my local store did not have any but they had 1 left. So check your local Lowe’s in person.

I love this vac!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very pleased with this vac. If you hold the suction attachment against the floor and try to lift it you can feel all the suction power. It's like a Dyson but without all the noise from the motor. Yes!!! It is quiet. I can't believe it. I have to admit in the video it sounds louder than it really is. And even you can see the suction power while I'm vacuuming the bunnie's poop.

Quiet, Powerful
I just brought this home today. Assembly was very easy and only took a few minutes. I preferred to leave the screws out of the wheel brackets so I could remove the wheels easily whenever necessary. The suction seems very strong and the motor is very quiet. One thing the vacuum does NOT have is a blower. You cannot even connect the hose to the exhaust as there is no port for it. I doesn't matter to me since I very rarely use a vacuum as a blower anyway and I have a blower I can use. I hope this shop vac will last 20 years like the one it replaced.

Super quiet. Great power.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wet dry vac is very quiet compared to the wet dry vac I am replacing, despite being a larger and more powerful unit. If running in the garage, it cannot be heard in the inside of the house. At least not easily. The attachments are nice but the floor brush is tough to use. Maybe it will get better over time. In the forward stroke, the bristles collapse and the head bogs down in the floor. The attachments are also made for this 2 inch hose, so they are beefy as well. May want to buy a reducer fitting to be able to use smaller attachments for getting into crevices in cars. Overall, this is a nice unit. Quiet and powerful. I would recommend.

great tool
I bought this unit to replace unit (different manufacturer) when the motor finally died. After using it a few weeks, I appreciate that it solves several annoyances common to other models. First it is very quiet so you don't need to wear hearing protection-no high pitched whine. Second the tool caddy solves the problem of not knowing where you left the nozzle or brush head. The quick connect of the hose to the main body solves the problem of the hose coming loose when you are pulling the unit around the shop. The large handle that serves as a cord wrap is nice. I also like the strap that holds the hose in place when the unit is not in use. Overall, many excellent design features. I hope this one lasts forever.

Perfectly quiet Dewalt shopvac
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After receiving this item in the mail I was excited to assemble it. Taking it out of the box was a breeze with everything needed for the job included inside the unit. Putting it together was also simple and the screws are in there as well for you to install on the side for the bag pouch. Once fully assembled it rolled with ease and the power cord is really long which I loved. The hoses smelled a bit and was not appealing at all. The quietness of the unit is the positive on this review. The suction noise is louder than the unit running itself. Not sure there is anything I would change on this unit except the smell of the hose. Beautiful product with adequate tools and accessories for the job and great suction.
