DCN Harmony Planter - Resin - 14-in x 16-in - Black

I'll try my best to describe, since I can't attach photos. There is a drainage tray that sits inside the pot, keeping the soil up about 2 inches above bottom of pot. Then, molded into the bottom of the pot, is a 2 inch cone, that goes up inside the pot, almost touching the drainage tray. If you punch out the top of the this cone, turning it into an overflow drain, it will allow excess water to drain out of the pot. If you do that, though, I would only use it outdoors, b/c if you overwater, it will leak.

I haven't used it inside, but hasn't leaked.

Base is 10 inches square, top is 15 inches square; height/deep is 14 inches, with 4 inch deep removal floor where water might collect; soil can either be full 14 inches deep or 10 inches deep. I have 6 this size, and one tall one.

The Slate colour is simply a dark grey that has a slight metallic look to it and Black is a regular Black colour.

The DCN Harmony Planters have an inside saucer. This saucer keeps the soil away from the water reservoir, which fills with water. The slits in the saucer allow the roots to go through, thus becoming Self Watering. When using this planter outdoors, before you place the soil in the planter drill a hole up inside the riser located on the outside of the bottom of the planter....DO NOT DRILL OUT WHEN USING INDOORS. This hole allows excess water to escape, which gives this planter overflow protection while retaining a good supply of water for the plant.
