Has an undocumented shelf life & is unusable after 12 mos
As I experienced, there is an unexpected & undocumented shelf life of 12 mos n this product, as I was told dismissively by the DAP call-in service rep., the date of which only he could decipher. There is no user legible indication of the mfg date on the tube. The effect was to render an unopened tube so uselessly thick it could not be dispensed from the tube without significant, minimally a 2 handed squeezing force.

Best caulking for plastic tub surrounds
I used a different caulking for our tub wall kit. After drying it cracked and shrank. Dap 3.0 adhered A big issue for me with most caulking is air bubbles; you squeeze out some caulking, release the trigger, but it keeps squeezing out. Both times I've bought Dap 3.0, there were no air bubbles; application control was perfect. It cures to a well-adhered flexible rubber seal. It really flexes without losing seal. Amazing stuff. It is harder to clean up, but that's to be expected with a higher performance product. And be aware, while it's water resistant in 30 minutes, you can still make a big mess even an hour later if you stand on the edge of the tub to caulk the ceiling and stick your stupid toenails into it. Not that I'd ever do anything like that...

Don't Purchase this Caulk
Purchased this product expecting it would be better than standard clear silicon product. It was so thick that it was unusable. It broke one of my caulk guns. You can not get the product out of the tube. It is too thick and sticky. It does not spread well at all. DAP should stop selling this product.

Buy a case
I have been useing this for years. I buy and sell RV campers and Motor homes. they all leak I use this because it works and last. Does NOT peal off. It is crystal clear. I use it on exterior around every seal and window vent etc. Hard to squeeze out of caulk gun but well worth the pain in hand. I'am a 58 year old woman.

Buy it for adhesion and durability!
I built several wooden carriage doors and used 8 or 10 tubes of DAP 3.0 to seal the seams and am familiar with how it behaves. My interest in using it was to never repair these doors due to water damage. Yes, there are many advantages to water-based sealants, just as there are to water-based paints. However, for longevity, both oil-based paints and hybrid sealants are better, in my opinion. Sure, you've got to deal with minerals spirits for cleanup, but you only do that once in 10 years. I agree also that because it sticks to everything, you have to smooth the bead in one stroke. Going back over it with you finger to touch up will raise it up. But once it's smoothed over, it's great! I too had difficulty squeezing the gun, but if you better perforate the tube's seal and open-up the tip, its no problem. Finally, with the popular review "Not Paintable", I disagree. It does indeed require a latex primer, but after the latex, you can paint it with anything. Hope this offers some helpful guidance.

I would NOT buy this product and use it again.
I have used DAP products for years but EXTREMELY disappointed with this. It costs more than the other caulking. I used less than 5% of the tube, properly sealed it. When I use it today, it rubberized in the first 1/2" from the tip. After getting the rubber out, have to squeeze the gun almost broke it to get the caulking out but flow still very slow. Very sticky, difficult to flow out evenly, difficult to make a smooth surface on finish. Cleaning is much more difficult than all other caulking I used before (both DAP, or GE).

Warning- Sometimes Defective and will NOT Dry!!!!!
We used this caulk to prep a custom porch on a multimillion dollar house. After prep- paint, right? But then the nightmare began- as we realized some of the tubes we used did not skin over. This was in July, afternoon temps in the 90s, - and the caulk 4 hours later was completely wet. (Some of it- we did a test with tubes we had left over- some tubes would skin in 30 minutes just as advertised- the other tubes NEVER dried. You got that right- NEVER dried, just a gooey mess. Hopefully DAP will make this right, otherwise I am taking this to small claims court.

Works great to seal off window
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really impressed by this 3.0 window door trim and siding high performance sealant and the way that it actually works really well to help seal off my windows to help give it perfect seal to keep out the cold air. I used it to actually feel a crack in the window it was so simple to use and work with and didn't require any cleanup. I also found that it it here to the surface great and I was able to use it to get a perfect seal against the cold weather. I also like that it didn't have any odor and tried really quickly. I would definitely recommend it because it was very easy to work with but also worked great to seal off my window
