Thank you for your question. Yes for best performance and long life change the initial oil after the first five hours of use, then once per season thereafter.

Can it self-propel without cutting? I typically use lawn mowers between trees and design the yard with my lawn tractor. I was told that a limitation of all Cub Cadet lawn mowers is that when you disengage the cutting system, the unit powers off.

The blades turn as you start the engine. You cannot self-propel with the engine off however the blades will turn with the self-propelled off.

Le seul point négatif qui fait qu'elle mérite 4 étoiles est son poids. En général, je suis très satisfait de mon achat!

Rated 3 out of 5 by 123Pete from Nice engine This mower has a lot of plastic which is hard to not run into these days. The first time used the bag for ten minutes and removed it. After first time used the spring on bag flap came apart and the holding pin came out. I put it back in place but every time it is used this happens again. This mower came bad out of the box and is in shop waiting to see if company going to pay for fix. It is only two weeks old so beware this is an ongoing issue. The rear wheel adjustment knob could be flatter as it does catch on things. I can't say enough about the great engine an it's power.

However, after setting it all up I immediately noticed the front wheel drive didn’t work. Rear wheel works great for now. Next step, I guess I’ll reach out to Cub Cadet and see what they advise at this point.

Rated 1 out of 5 by tractorrunner from DEFECTIVE purchase this mower 3 weeks ago , came to me defective and Rona would not take it back , have not used the mower yet .still waiting for parts so it can be fix...it is possible it will be repaired before winter ,ad to buy a cheap mower to cut lawn until i get my expensive mower back , not a happy camper , customer service not responsive.
