What is the maximum depth of snow that this snowblower can remove?
Thank you for your question. The intake height for this powerful single stage model is 13". It will effectively handle a foot of snow or better and cleans right down to the driveway with it's rubber auger-assist drive.

Last year is working good, but this year I trying many times but it cant starting, what the reson
Did you store it with gas still in it?
If so, use the electric start, use up the old gas and replace with new one. Once it runs and has been refilled with new gas it should be back to normal. Alternatively you will need to get it serviced, drain the old gas and clean out the carburetor. At the end of season, ensure to store with no gas in the tank.

what is the weight
Cant say with certainty but it equates to the weight of a 6HP self propelled lawn mower. Very easy to manage, my 14 yr old who is 110lbs can easily manipulate the blower with ease

did anyone find the flap would not move up/down using the hand control on the upper unit. The cables look good and move however there is nothing to "catch" on the chute that would make the flap move up and down.it moves manually but not with the control?
i finally got the screw that attaches to the chute so the upper remote now works. my prob now is ,,,no snow....i havent put oil in it yet to test, so o idea if unit even works!

If I pick this up from the store, would it fit inside an average sized sedan?
With the trunk open and tied down yes

The HEX Washer screwa came loose which hold the rotation control assembly and were lost when I was using the unit. Where can I get replacements and what size are those screws?
Mine fell out the first time I ran the machine. I drilled through the handle and attached with nuts and bolts. No more issues.

How much does it weigh
It's a heavy unit for a single stage due to its 208cc motor. Cub Cadet weights this unit to be in the 99lbs range, but with a full tank of gas and engine oil installed it's probably heavier.

Winter 2017 - Vancouver
We bought 2 of the Cub Cadets from Lowes Queensboro. After doing a lot research. One for not so mechanical brother in law and one for me.
This unit shoots snow across the street, easy to handle. I have used my neighbors two stage powered wheel unit, but found that monster like using a rototiller hard to handle. This unit works like a lawnmower, easy to backtrack you can push if you want, the auger pulls the unit along pretty nicely.
Staff at Lowes brought in the 2 units from Alberta for no extra charge.
Highly recommend. By the way the bag of oil fits ! You just need to add slowly.
Added Chevron 94 Octane ( all yard motors get the 94), second pull start ! AWESOME !!!

Great little machine
I purchased this unit on 11/04/19. It was reasonably priced and easy to assemble. After fueling, it started on the first pull (I didn't use the electric start to test the unit). We got 10" of snow on 11/11/19, I used the electric start to get it going and it went through the snow very easily in one pass. It cleaned down to the pavement and threw the snow where I aimed it 20' away. I use it on a concrete drive and approx. 200' of sidewalk. The only place it bogged down at all was where the plow left the heavy stuff, it took 2 or 3 passes and it was cleared as well. The machine is lightweight and easy to maneuver.

Very Satisfied
Bought this snowblower on Boxing Day sale. This unit replaced a 12 year old Murray 2 stroke. Have now used it on 3 major snowfalls and am very satisfied with the snow removal capability and the ergonomics of the controls. Had a problem with loose bolts on the chute rotator control where it attaches to the handle just replaced self tapping bolts with bolt and nut. Engine starts on first or second pull and has plenty of power. Good thing about Cub Cadet (MTD) is that parts are readily available at fair prices. In my experience that is very important as rubber paddles, scraper bars and belts wear out quickly on single stage blowers.

Long time owner
I bought this machine in 2016 and its an easy machine to use and handle. Recently I an issue with the carb which was repaired by my service center. This problem was caused by me since I did not drain the fuel after every season and it the fuel that remained in the carb jelled and needed to be cleaned out. So follow the owners manual on how to store the unit to prevent this from happening to you. The second problem that recently happened to me is the cable that operates the direction chute ceded up and needed to be replaced.Other than those two problems its is good machine for someone looking to clear a normal driveway with an light weight easy to handle machine.

A great little machine
The 221 LHP is my first snow blower purchase. I could not have bought it at a better time - for the winter of 2011. I have used it on my smaller, circular driveway at least 8 times, just in January. It is powerful, yet light weight and easy to use. Throws snow easily without any jams. The chute directional controls are very convenient. I thought the light would not be needed but makes night-time cleanup much safer. Get this- my wife even asks to use it. Starts-up on no more than two pulls. We love it!!!!

good buy
Purchased a Cub Cadet model 221 LHP. After using another major brand previously, was impressed with this model when being shown by my dealer.. The features included on this model made the decision for me very easy. After using it following our first 8 in. snowfall, proved to me that I definetly made the right decision. This is the best single stage blower on the market.

Very Pleased
Great product for a great price when I bought it on sale. It has just the right amount of power for a single stage without being excessively large or heavy. I bought it so that it could fit in my small garage and still park my car in it. Oil came with it separately and I slowly added it and kept checking the dipstick. Mine ended up using the whole 591ml bag. Don't forget to adjust the scrape plate to suit your driveway type and determine how much or little snow it may allow to pass under the unit. I haven't even tried the electric start yet because it starts first pull every time. Just make sure you use fuel stabilizer with the ethanol gas at the pumps these days. Very happy with the performance over the two snowfalls so far, throws the lighter snow really far.
