Description

We just bought our first home and have been working on a lot of projects, i didn't have a lot of extra money to spare but knew I needed something. I picked up the cheapest one and honestly I've had zero regrets. Lightweight, easy to carry with an extension cord out to my car, at one point i even looped a belt through the handle over my shoulder and used it like a backpack. I felt like a ghostbuster, it was awesome. Definitely recommend if you have small projects, a small budget, and/or don't mind emptying out semi-frequently.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Woodchuck from Very useful, and does the job. This is a terrific little vacuum. I use it, primarily, in my woodworking shop for small cleaning. Easy to maneuver, to carry, and does an impressive job in picking up everything from sawdust to wood chips. Attachments are useful as well. If I were forced to complain about something, it would be that the cord is a bit too small. I suspect that most folks will need to have an electrical extension cord hanging around to stretch out its use. Nonetheless, I am quite happy with the product.

Con: Had to use cable ties to hold the "floating wedge" down inside the cage that the wedge sits in. After just a minute or so of usage, the wedge would slam to the top and cut the suction off. The wedge is intended to float to the top to prevent damage to the motor when using the vacuum as a wet-vac. I was using it as a dry-vac (with the accompanying bag filter). Pretty sure that's not how it was intended to be used but hey, it works. Spend the extra $$ and get a better model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CMW2 from Pool Liner Vac; used 2 install 20mil x 18’W x 36’L Well built Craftsman Shop Vac. I used two (2) of these shop vac’s nonstop for a run time of 36 hrs. This shop vac has both the HP (3hp) & CFM (80cfm). To install a 20 mil thick x 18 ft wide x 36 ft long pool liner. I’m guessing, because neither shop vac did NOT fail do to the long non-stop run time, the components used (bearings, motor, cooling tech & more) are selected to last the test of time. The “CMXEVXA18910P-3” shop vac is strongly recommended. Very well designed & built. Great job!

The short cord and hose can be annoying at times. But it works. I'd like a cordless model but I don't want to get involved with yet another battery eco system. So until one of the battery powered tools that I'm already invested in comes out with a shop vac this will do.

I scoop most of the water out and then vac the bottom for the remaining water and debris. Suction is good. Cord is short, but OK for where I use it. HOWEVER, it says it is a 3 gallon tank. It only holds 1 gallon before the float shuts it off and it doesn't suck anymore. I was surprised so tested it inside several times and poured into a gallon container--it barely holds 1 gallon. So depending on what your intended use it--might want to go with a larger one.
