Powerfull inpact driver
Got the drill/driver/impact combo when my Dewalt smoked. The impact is powerful, way more power than my Makita. Infact it almost has t0o much power. First time I used it had to pull out the quality bits as I burnt up two lower quality bits. I would rather burn up the bits instead of the screws but I need to be more careful with this tool. However now that I've used over the last month or so, getting use to it. Would definitely recommend. Nice to red back in my tool selection.

A great cordless tool for DIY projects
I have already invested in an extensive collection of Ryobi 18v tools, but decided to try Craftsman because I wanted to upgrade to brushless cordless tools. A holiday sale at my local Lowe’s made the price point competitive with standard cordless tools. I’m a weekend DIYer, and this tool meets my needs with plenty of power to spare. I also appreciate features like a large pistol grip that allows a better grip when wearing gloves and an LED light above the pistol grip. The only issue I’ve experienced is difficulty operating the sliding forward-stop-reverse switch while wearing gloves because the switch is so small. Overall, I’m satisfied with my purchase and Craftsman quality.

still love Craftsman
despite reading and viewing reviews that state craftsman is only good for "light duty" jobs... all can say is kiss off... ive put every craftsman tool that i have owned through some very rough jobs over the years, and they have been holding up better than ANY other major competitor... and the new line of 20V Craftsman tools are no exception (minus the measuring tapes and wire strippers - improvements can be made) .... but the 20V Craftsman Brushless Impact has been a VERY GOOD pick up!!! been using it on a daily basis working on an addition to my girlfriends home, and its holding up better than her Makita!!! when that project is done, im taking it to work, to replace my Craftsman 20V Impact, ONLY because it lighter...but holds up JUST AS GOOD!!!

Nice kick!
I was looking for a new impact driver. I almost went with Ryobi, but their tools are too bulky. I was looking for a nice balance between performance, size and durability. The Ryobi had some nice power, but components inside the tool would rattle, or feel lose when I would pick it up, turn it around, etc. And, like I mentioned before, they were just too bulky.
I came across Craftsman and heard some negative reviews of their tools, but realized a lot of these reviews were fairly old. As I dived in deeper I saw that they recently stepped up their branding and quality of their new lineup. The reviews flipped from negative to a more positive tone — that perked my interest. I saw some tool tear downs online of this impact driver and other Craftsman tools, and came to find out that they pay attention to every detail and use quality parts on the inside of their tools as much as they do for their tools exteriors. When I visited Lowe’s and saw the impact driver, it wasn’t huge, and it wasnt small. It was just right. Great weight distribution, and felt very sturdy, as sturdy as the reviews descibed it to be. It gave me the confidence that I could accidentally drop it and not have to worry if anything was rattled lose within it, or if its performance would degrade.
I purchased it and brought it home to conduct some tests. This thing had some kick! But, not an overwhelming amount. I don’t work in contruction, or am I a wood worker. I’m just a husband that has to show up for any task when it’s in demand around the house. I will say, it gets the job done, and gave me the confidence that it will perform under greater demand if needed.

total workhorse
I'm an electrician and I've used this impact driver for about a month on various residential and commercial jobs. It's very comfortable and durable, it has held up to multiple drops from off the ladder. I would definitely recommend! The only downside is that it does not come with a clip to hang it on a belt.

real good
only owned this impact for a month or so but the thing’s fantastic. im building a barn right now and i use it to send in hundreds of 3” wood screws every day. the thing’s strong too. it’ll easily send a 6inch lag screw into a post. great tool to have, and with a 3 year warranty... you cant beat it.

Worth it!
Love this! This is the only thing by this brand I will own. They fail on other things but this is worth every penny.
