It is what it is….
First off, I’ve been a professional auto mechanic for the last 25 years. At the shop I have mostly Snap-on tools with an assortment of some older Craftsman items as well . I’ve always felt that for the money Craftsman were a decent product- let’s be real, no one is going to confuse them for Snap-on but they also aren’t priced like Snap-on.
I needed a small too cabinet for some tools at my home garage and after shopping around thought this would be a good product. By professional mechanic standards I would consider it rather light-duty but for home use I think it’s decent.
One thing I was disappointed by was when I unpacked the cabinet there was existing damage to the lower front corner. There was no damage to the packaging so I’m assuming it left the factory this way. I guess quality control isn’t what it used to be. And yes, it wasn’t really a big deal, it is after all a tool box for the garage, but when you buy something brand new you expect it to be perfect.
I didn’t think it would be worth the aggravation of repacking it and returning it to the store I bought it at but I did call them and spoke to the manager. He had me come back to the store with my receipt and some photos and he knocked some money off of the price for the “scratch and dent” nature of the product.
The lock also seems a bit fussy. It can be difficult to turn without a fair amount of effort. I sprayed it with some WD40 and am hoping it will start to work more smoothly.

Craftsman 2000 Series 27"
I'm 15 years old and have had this toolbox for almost 4 months. It's great for storing all my tools! This box is well built and is fairly priced. I bought it with my own money. This thing is perfect! I have no complaints what so ever. It rolls freely and the drawers open smoothly. Great job Craftsman!

Awesome Tool Box!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this box as a gift from my wife. I am disabled now and I do a lot of things in and around our garage. I had never had any storage like this before but my wife wanted me to have something to be able to keep up with everything. The space this gives me is just amazing and yes Im able to keep up with everything now. I don't have to spend an hour hunting tools for a job that takes 10 minutes
