Description

This Craftsman(R) self-propelled mower is ideal for small areas and lets you mow the lawn at your own pace. The 21'' mower is equipped with variable front-wheel drive and a powerful Honda(R) 160cc engine with automatic choke which eliminates any risk of choking and priming before starting. It features a 1.9-bushel bag that allows for easy cleanup or composting as well as 11'' rear wheels for improved manoeuvrability on any terrain. The dual 6-position adjustment lever makes it easy for you to adjust the cutting height while mowing. Conveniently the handles can be folded to allow easy compact storage. This product is backed by a 3-Year limited warranty.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Unhappy Rona Warden from Rona gave me a lawnmower which was used I purchased this lawnmower, not in the clearance department, but new. When I opened the box, oil was leaked on the box and the oil container was not there. Instead the oil was already in the motor, when I took out the dip stick. I called Rona (Eglinton and Warden) and the manager never called me back. The worst store and manager ever. Do not buy from this location.

Rated 5 out of 5 by M McVic from Craftsman is Reliable I bought my new Craftsman lawnmower on line as the local store didn’t have one available. It arrived quickly, and only required minimal work to get it ready to use. One pull of the cord and away I went. I’ve used it a couple of times now, and it does a good job. Its not overly heavy so it’s easy to handle. I had my last Craftsman for almost 20 years, and hope to have this one as long. Hopefully by that time I’ll be able to convince the wife that it’s her turn to cut the lawn.

Je suis impressionné par cette Craftman (moteur Honda) avec traction. La traction fait toute une différence dans les côtes. J’ai hésité longtemps avant de la choisir, mais je suis convaincu d’avoir fait le bon choix.

MY OLDER MACHINE LASTED 20 PLUS YEARS TILL THE ENGINE GOT WEAK , THIS ONE HAS A GOOD HONDA ENGINE BUT EVERYTHING HOLDING IT TOGETHER IS CHEAP PLASTIC. WHY CAN'T THEY MAKE A GOOD LAWNMOWER ANYMORE, I WOOD BE GLAD TO PAY MORE FOR A MACHINE WITH BALL BEARINGS WHEEL INTO A METAL CHASIS, NOT IMPRESSED

After unboxing mower and pulling handle out from deck, had a very difficult time getting one of the bolts that fastens handle onto deck threaded into the nut. The bolt for the other side of the handle threaded instantly. The problematic bolt/hole required adjusting the small square nut behind wheels into a slightly different position to allow bolt to thread. Frustrating for a brand new mower. I found that out of the box the easy fold clips for the mower handle were not tight enough to support weight of mower and lifting the mower would fold up the handle. Tightened nuts on clips, easy fold seems to work properly now and has not slipped since. Regardless, the clip leaves me with the impression that it will be a future failure point. We have a husqvarna mower with a different easy fold mechanism that is much more sturdy. The next problem we have encountered, is that during folding up the handle, the routing of the cable for the safety bar is twisted around the handle from factory. Upon folding the handle up once, the cable snagged on the easy fold clip and pulled and broke the cable. Once this broke, I could not straighten the handle again since the safety bar was stuck, preventing the pull cord from releasing. Two weeks old and now the safety handle does not work properly. Perhaps if the cable were routed differently from the factory this wouldn’t have happened. Our husqvarna L221P is a year old with same engine, and we fold the handle all the time without issue. Called local warranty repair shop, they said they would have to have a look. Lift mower into my van, drive it over to warranty shop to be told this cable wouldn’t be covered under warranty. New cable is $20, and installation is $60-80. No thanks, I’m not paying $100 for my mower that is 2 weeks old. Only bought this mower because my 4 year old son loves craftsman mowers. When inspecting at Lowe’s I was hesitant of quality. Bag is not as easy as husqvarna to install. Currently very disappointed. If ez fold clip and cable problem did not exist I would give 4 stars. We do like the mower when functions as intended. Good thing we also have a new husqvarna, zero issues out of that mower! DO BETTER CRAFTSMAN!!!!
