Description
The CRAFTSMAN Select 24 snow thrower is powered by a 208 cc 4-cycle OHV engine. Its push-button electric start eliminates pull-starting a cold engine along with the need to mix oil and gas, saving you time and energy on freezing mornings. Its self-propelled drive features 6 forward and 2 reverse speeds which provides control and versatility in any winter condition. The compact 24-in clearing width and 20-in intake height provides a narrow foot print for the machine and allows for easy maneuverability. Sawtooth steel augers cut through snow and ice with ease for improved clearing while the durable steel auger housing is designed to reduce snow blow out with the angled front edge. Ergonomic controls and handgrips help make the snow blower comfortable for the operator and reduce the force needed to the shift speed lever. The 200 degree chute rotation allows for controlled snow flow while the durable steel chute allows you to throw snow farther, up to 40-ft. Eliminate garage rust stains and protect surfaces from scuffing with the adjustable poly skid shoes. This snow blower also comes with a three-year limited warranty for peace of mind.

Is the height of the chute adjusts manually or does it have a handle at the front?
Thank you for your question. The snow discharge pitch or height is adjusted manually on this model using the wingnuts on the upper chute.

Any reviews you see of this that are over 2 stars were created by a AI or someone who lives somewhere where they only get 8 inches of snow, and not that wet snow, if it’s wet snow you’re only gonna be able to do 4 inches and it’s gonna throw it four feet to your side. Product is horrible and I can now see why Honda is way more expensive

Does everything it is suppose to. Easy to use. For the price its a good machine. If you have a huge driveway or live somewhere with tons of snow, you may want a bigger machine. This one works great for your average snow fall

Very easy assembly, started on first pull.
There is not a primary parts list with part#. They should be listed in the OEM manual. Not just on the lable on the unit, it will fade or wear off. Basic parts like, cables, skid plates, shear pins, plug, belts.

The purchasing, pickup and assembly was all good. The snow blower starts easily, both pull and electric start. I used the blower for the first time on snow that was light, but had sat for a few days with above freezing daytime temperatures so it didn't want to cut down through the base layer, understandable. Once I loosened up the snow a bit with a shovel at ground level it then broke it up and threw it a fair distance. I believe if I'd have used it on fresh snow it would have worked just fine as designed, we'll see on the next round of snow. I've been reading some complaints about the blower not starting after several uses or the next winter, we'll see as this blower is new only used one time so jury is still out on long-term functionality. So far so good.
