I won't buy any more Craftsman.
Craftsman USED TO BE great tools. This carpet knife is a pain PAIN to use - must take it apart to get the blade in OPERATING mode, and take apart to get the blade bake in SAFE (non-use) mode. I won't buy any more Craftsman.

Junk
Had to take it apart to get the packaging off, parts flew all over, couldn’t get it back together, no instructions. After reading the reviews I see that people have said the same thing for at least 3 years. Why would craftsman keep selling this product ?

No instructions? !!!!!
Why in the world, with so many complaints about assembly instructions. Do you not post instructions? Can’t believe the poor product support from Craftsman.

Looks like this is a problem
Just bought this knife, and started to install a blade. After about an hour of fighting to get it back together w/ and w/o a blade inside. I quit and decided to search for some advice or instructions. Nothing but this page pulled up and it appears I'm not the only one having the problem. Most craftsman products are great but not this one. They should have did a little more R&D

What a Piece of Junk!
First time in my life that I was disappointed in a Craftsman product! How can a 6 piece razor knife be impossible to reassemble after removing the cardboard? If it wasn't so expensive, I would throw this piece of junk right in the trash can. And the kicker is that the Craftsman website has NO ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS!! Do your self a favor and forgo this product....just buy a sheetrock knife. This is one DIY-er guy that Craftsman won't have to worry about making claim on the Lifetime Warranty. This is going in the trash can. Nuff Said!

Piece of junk
Lousy instructions, impossible to put together. Waste of money and more importantly my time. I have a moldy carpet to remove and this is no help.

Say it isn't So Craftsman
I Got To Call it as I See or Experience it, and I Consider Myself Quiet Handy I've been in the Home Improvement and Handyman Field for over 35 years and I've been using Craftsman Tools longer,My Grandfather had alot of Craftsman Tools and he Always talked about how They were the Best and I've had mostly good experience with Craftsman. And I'm sure this is a great knife,However I can't seem to get it back together to find out .Unfortunately I think Craftsman dropped the ball on this one .
