Broken after a few uses
Bought this ratchet and used it maybe 3 or 4 times on very light easy work, the ratchet mechanism is locked up and can the ratchet is not usable anymore.
This is definitely not the same quality craftsman that my grandpa had. Might go with a different brand if you need it for everyday use

Disappointed
Selector switch for forward and reverse broke after only using a handful of times. Tried to return to store but was told they didn't have a replacement available for it. Very disappointed

Lasted for three uses...
Used three times for light work before it locked up. Good note - Warranty center is to send a replacement.

Loved the ratchet, when it worked
I'm giving it 2 stars because the ratchet itself is decent, but the selector broke off between uses (used twice) and now it's useless and stuck in reverse.

Failed immediately.
Literally used it 4 times and it failed. Selector switch won't change positions and drive won't rotate. They exchanged with no issues but after reading these reviews I'm not too optimistic that I'll be free of problems in the future. I hope they redesigned this new one. Seems to be a serious design flaw. I wish I read the reviews before I purchased. I relied on Craftsman previous reputation unfortunately.

DO NOT BUY..Poor quality tool/customer service
I was glad to see Rona was now carrying Craftsman brand tools. I’ve been using Craftsman tools for many years as a mechanic. This 3/8” drive ratchet looks nice but is made extremely poorly. After minimal use the spring broke internally and seized. I attempted to return it but was asked to produce a receipt or original packaging. Since I had neither they wouldn’t accept it as a return. So much for lifetime warranty. I won’t be shopping at Rona or purchasing Craftsman tools anymore. What a shame.

Failed
This ratchet came in a nice set. Great look and feel. It failed mechanically. I've been a mechanic for over 30 years. I've never had a craftsman tool fail in such a way. I began repairing the ratchet myself and can see the poor quality in its construction. I do not recommend this particular ratchet, and will be replacing all 3 ratchets in the set.

GREAT for one week
Was the best wrench I’ve ever owned, for one week until it seized up, and my friends had the same problem. If it was a bit more durable it would be the staple of the toolbox.
