Description
This green cross line laser offers 100° vertical and horizontal lines with a 55-ft visible range. It also features a locking pendulum, a 3 position lock switch with manual mode and a removable quick link bracket with 1/4-in 20-in thread mount for tripod use. This kit includes a bracket, batteries and a protective pouch.

Tried to use in the Outdoors
My son was creating a level dirt pad on his unlevel lawn to install a child's play gym. I tested the Green Line Laser in my garage and the cross pattern showed very nicely. I took it to my son's house and proceeded to set it up to check the level of forms to hold the dirt pad. I took a yard stick and set it to see where the highest part of the lawn was. I could not find the horizontal green line. If I took the yard stick and set it in front of the beam generator, the line showed very nicely. At three feet away the beam was still visible but noticeably dimmer at between 5 and six feet, it disappeared completely. I have a Craftsman digital level with a red laser, this showed very nicely over the 30 foot square area and used this item to level the forms. Was I doing something wrong in what I was trying to do with the Green Line Laser? Why did it not display beyond five feet? I took it back to the store where I purchased it and a gentleman from the tool crib stated that only the more expensive laser levels would work in the outdoors even though the Description and Specification area says it can be used in the Outdoors and many reviews here say the owners are pleased with the items use in the outdoors. I wound up returning this item. I really wanted this item to work. I am going to recommend this item but contrary to some reviewers and the specs, to not using it in the outdoors.

NOTICE
NOTICE: Let the pendulum settle and turn it off carefully or the laser will not be square with the housing! It does not self center. Overall a good unit and I like it.

How to use/calibrate?
Just bought this laser and it mentions "first of all download the user manual to calibrate". The user manual is nowhere to be found.
The laser keeps blinking and the Y axis is not aligned but again no instructions on how to use the device.

Very accurate

Great product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using this for a little over a month and it’s awesome. It works great, the mounting bracket is extremely handy and secure. It works well even when you’re up against daylight. I’ve used it a ton under houses to level floor joists and it makes the job so much easier. Anyone who is looking for a laser level, this is the one. It’s extremely bright and accurate and the battery seems to last forever.

Simple effective product

The laser levels light is extremely bright and being green, highly visible. I was pretty amazed that it maintained accuracy for as far as it did (60+feet). Craftsman never ceases to amaze me with their functional simple to use products.

Great guide!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super excited that this has the attachable mount! the cross line is very helpful in leveling and aligning to other items around. very easy to use, and bright light. Reaches across the room with the bright light. Light weight and easy to mount and use.
