''Powersaw'' is a negative
I have a very tall, wide, and long older hedge. I bought this model because I thought the "powersaw" end might help with cutting thicker branches. It worked, but not that well. I would have been better off to use a pole saw for that. The worst part is that when doing normal trimming the "powersaw" catches on branches at the end of the blade and prevents a smooth progression of the blade. This doesn't happen when going in the opposite direction, but that almost makes this a one-way trimmer. My advice is to skip the "powersaw" option and get a normal cutting blade.

Not worth the money!!
Bought this trimmer last year and have used it 5 times, quit working, the motor turns but the blades do not engage. My previous trimmer lasted 20 years!

cuts very well but too heavy
I hsve had many corded Black and Decker trimmers over the years and decided to try this Craftsman. Just found out that it is now owned by Black and Decker. This trimmer cuts very well, the few inches of saw are not needed and do not work well. The biggest negative is that it is too heavy and without a continuous power on very unwieldy.
