Using an electric tool generates significantly fewer greenhouse gases (GHGs) and air pollutants than a conventional model using gasoline. Also, the use of a plug instead of a battery reduces the impacts associated with its production and end-of-life.

More capable than expected!
Purchased this chain saw mid March without great expectations to be honest. I used it to remove a palm tree stump in my front yard. A 12amp anything is not built for that type of job, but this little thing got it done with some elbow grease. No problems at all! No stoppage or broken chain. Right out of the box I put some grease in the resevior and was on my way. I couldn't afford a gas chain saw, and didn't really need one to keep for long so this was perfect even at the price. Truly recommend it to anyone with smaller trees and shrubs. Great product at the end of the day without breaking the bank.

Worth the money
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this saw because I had one specific task and didn't have a need to purchase an expensive gas saw and I didn't want to have to deal with maintaining a 2 stroke engine and storing gas. I used this to trim down a fairly large tree that was leaning towards my house. This saw did a great job, the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because when you release the trigger, the chain takes a bit to spin down; there is no break. This can be a safety concern if you are not aware. It was enough power to do the job though.

Stopped cutting after one cut
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I felt like this could do the job I needed given all the 5-star reviews. I was replacing a 15-year old Remington electric saw. So I got it to cut up a few limbs around the house and a fallen palo verde (which is pretty soft wood). I made one cut of a section about a foot in diameter, and it cut through it like butter. But then on the second cut, it just stopped cutting. It's like it dulled after a single cut. I tried to sharpen it, but it still won't cut. It's getting oil, but it just heats up and starts smoking. Returning it.

Good tool for the price
I purchased this chainsaw after I had some large tree limbs (8 - 10 inch diameter) fall in a storm. The saw was easy to setup and I purchased the required bar & chain oil. It took about 30 min to read instructions & setup the chainsaw. As I fear chainsaws because they can cause severe injury, I took the time to read the instructions. The chainsaw performed good and cut everything, though I did need to learn how to cut through larger limbs so the chainsaw wouldn't bind. My only negative on the saw is the chain continue to move for several seconds after releasing the trigger. Need to be VERY careful to make sure it has stopped before reaching near moving chain.

Great Saw
Like others out there, I could not get anyone to cut up 2 trees that were dry and in my yard. I woke up one morning and desided to get an electric saw and take care of it myself. The decision to buy this one ended up to be a good one. I hadn't cut wood for 30 years but it sure was enjoyable using this saw. Easy to adjust the chain and the oiler works great. I cut a tree about 14" in diameter and this saw had plenty of power.

OK for small stuff
Purchased to cut down bushes to include the small stumps after digging around then. New product assembled needed chain adjustment 75% out. after 20 minutes of use chain had stretched to adjustment limit and no longer cut without full body lean into it. Noticed about 10 minutes into use that the bar oil had hardly dropped. started pouring bar oil directly on blade which help for a couple minutes however it was to little to late. Motor did run fine just cheap chain and bar assembly with questionable oiler.

Great value.
Had a tree come down in my backyard a few days ago, borrowed a gas chainsaw from a friend, after fighting with it for about an hour i gave up on the loaner chainsaw and went to purchase my own. Got this electric one since i didnt want to fight with starting a new one. Worked great, plenty of power to cut up the tree. Would defintely recommend. But make sure to buy a bigger bottle of chain oil because this saw used some oil (about 2 refills in 2-3 hours)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would say this saw is definitely worth its price. I used it as a Clean up / Back up saw. But to my surprise it did a lot more. Considering it was not a gas saw it more than pulled is weight. I would recommend it for medium work, clean up and or back up. Worth every penny!
