Description
This CRAFTSMAN V20 20-volt MAX 7 1/4-in cordless mitre saw is powered by a powerful motor running at 3,800 RPM designed for cutting 2 dimensional lumber, hardwoods, baseboards and trims with ease. The sliding 7 1/4-in blade allows for a crosscut capacity of up to 8-in while the 9-mitre detent and single bevel blade allows for angled cuts. The lightweight design coming in a 21.8-lb coupled with the side carry handles make this unit extremely portable. The LED light eliminates shadows and provides an accurate and easy cut line to follow. The saw is sold with a fast charger that recharges high capacity lithium batteries in 60 minutes or less. Nice small saw
This is a fine tool, accurate, and strong. Remember, this is a small compound saw. It's detents are accurately set, the blade that comes with it works well for most materials. I have cut harwoods, aluminum and pine. When the battery is low you can tell, because the saw struggles a bit. The shadow light is a nice feature

Amazing for the price, quality built and quiet.
Surprising good and built quality is superb. For the price it's amazing and the cut quality is spot on accurate for terms and baseboard.
Light and portable but doesn't feel flimsy, solid built quality and most importantly, quiet operation. Battery included will last me a good few hours of work. When the battery runs out its usually time for a break and recharge.

Portable Miter Saw
This is honestly one of my favorite tools in my v20 system. Having a portable miter saw has been one of the most useful things in my workshop. I only have a 15 amp circuit for my garage and we have other appliances drawing from that so I wanted something that wouldn’t run on AC power. This has cut through 2x boards with no issue. I’ve been very pleased with the power and portability.

V20* Cordless 7-1/4-in. Sliding Miter Saw
Got the unit home, Put it together and was extremely excited to get to work. Unit worked as advertised & flawless. But, It's missing the wood tie-down clamp. Now I'm being told the are out of stock, after driving to 3 different counties to find this little miter saw. What in the world, Craftsman makes awesome products but have a lack of quality control

Almost a 5 star product
The one thing that is needed is either a small light to light up the cut line or a laser cut line that you can see, both would be best, and this could be engineered to an on/off switch so as not to drain the battery when you don’t need it. The shadow line only works in the right indoor light conditions. If you use this saw outside, or in an under construction area with low lighting, then you will need to supplement your lighting so that you can see your cut line. This is a big disappointment for me to an otherwise excellent saw that is performing perfectly. I also upgraded the saw blade for cutting my trim work. This is a much needed add-on.

Little mighty saw.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect size, perfect price. But don't let the size full you. I Built a 12x26 composite deck and there was never an issue. I did buy an extra twin battery pack at the same time I purchased the saw. Although having the extra batteries is a great idea, found that with a single battery that comes with the saw, most jobs can be accomplished.
