Description
Chop branches and cut small trees with a CRAFTSMAN electric chainsaw. This chainsaw is CARB compliant that meets the air pollution standards. The 14-in electric chainsaw operates with a push start system which offers a higher level of security. This chainsaw comes with an auto oiler system that reduces friction and heat that's developed during cutting.

Perfect for the job!
I needed to remove a 20 foot diseased plum tree. An arborist quoted $500 to cut and remove the tree. The Craftsman 14 corded electric saw was on sale at Rona for $99. I ordered the saw online and picked the product up the same day at the drive through. Very easy process.
The next day, after reading the instructions 4 times I started cutting branches from the tree. I could not believe how quickly and safely I was able to cut up the tree. I left the 8 inch stock for last and the saw made short work including allowing me to cut the stump below ground level. I then cut up all of the branches into short pieces and two hours later the tree was gone and grass was planted.
A great product for those smaller home jobs.

Much better than expected
We used to own a sawmill, so I'm very familiar with chainsaws and tool's in general. Now this lil saw is definitely not going to be a choice for felling timber, but for a home owner or someone who needs a chainsaw occasionally and has a generator or access to a drop cord, this saw will do you proud. I got mine to use in basically one area cutting logs, scrap lumber, slabs and pallets for our firepit. I'm completely satisfied with my choice. Neighbor used it to cut a few low hanging limbs. He decided to get one to. Can't beat it for the money.

Great product with an amazing price
I bought this machine to cut up a tree that fell down in my backyard. This chainsaw was able to cut it all up with a breeze!!

Handle
Had saw for 2 weeks cleaning up storm damage in in yard. Saw was working great, very little problems UNTIL the handle broke off.I would recommend the saw 100 percent if they had a better handle.

Leaks oil
Bought this to cut branches and small stuff.
I put this saw down on my garage floor and lo and behold, it leaks oil all over the floor.
I absolutely tightened the oil cap. I see no where to cut off the oil.
Nothing in the manual to help.
By the way, Craftsman should really update this manual. In the lower right hand corner there is a series of alpha and numbers. CMECS614. Turns out it is the model number.
Why on earth didn't they simply add <MODEL NUMBER> and help us to understand.
