Description

This Craftsman® chest is made with quality materials that strengthen the design. The soft-close drawers gently pull themselves closed and will not slam shut. This helps keep your tools in place and ensures your drawers stay closed. Each heavy-duty drawer can support 120 lb. and glides smoothly on ball-bearing slides. A deep storage area under the lid includes a pegboard area to organize your tools as well as a power strip with six outlets and two USB ports, making it the ideal place to store and charge your power tools and electronics. 18- gauge extra deep I-Frame® construction holds up to heavy use. Gas struts support the tool chest lid and provide access to the charging area. Keyed internal locking system safeguards your tools. Craftsman® embossed non-slip drawer liners help hold tools in place and a Craftsman® embossed top mat protects surface under the chest lid. Recessed full-grip side handles help move storage around your shop. The chest offers 16,739 cubic inches of storage. The overall dimensions: 54.7" wide x 22.2" deep x 27.7" high. I compared every box from just about every retailer, and these are the best I could find. Great value on a USA made box! Sturdy drawers, included liners, power strip, metal pegboard style on the back of the top shelf, and it looks great! Soft-close drawers are nice too!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Leeo from Poor quality control Have to exchange mine as the top rubs the side, scratching the paint off. Inside the lid there are two creases. The entire unit flexes and exhumes cheap quality. It looks good, but is not well built.

My 113lb. girlfriend could not lift it. The top lid was slightly pushed down so it was difficult to open initially. However, with a couple of tugs & pushes it straighten out just fine.

It gives you the opportunity to organize tools for quick access. I have had several Craftmans tool boxes before but this is the nicest one yet.
