Description
This 30-in 357 cc electric start two-stage snow blower eliminates pull-starting a cold engine. The strong serrated steel augers cut through snow for faster clearing, saving you time on those frigid mornings. A reinforced steel housing provides durability and ruggedness in tough snowy conditions. The 30-in clearing width and 21-in intake height provides an oversized clearance. The power steering allows you to maneuver through turns with the touch of a finger, while the 16-in tires offer traction in tough snow conditions. Added features include an in-dash headlight to provide greater visibility in low-light conditions and adjustable poly skid shoes to eliminate garage rust stains and protect surfaces from scuffing.

I love this snowblower. By far the best I've own. Just used it for the first time today, 4 inches of heavy snow, the zero turn is amazing. My drive is 90 feet long and 16 feet wide. I had that done in no time at all, I even blazed a trail in the backyard for my little dog to do his business. I will say mine doesn't have heated handles as someone said but that didn't bother me at all. Also I want you to know that I'm a 73 year young female and its easy peasy. Don't hesitate to purchase.

Description Wrong
For the features it is one of the best priced units available. I have not used it yet so cannot comment on how it works.
The description above is not correct. It has a manual chute control. The following statement should be deleted:
SINGLE HAND CONTROL and ELECTRIC CHUTE CONTROL : Guide your snow blower with one hand, allowing you to adjust the chute, speed and other controls without disengaging the drive. No more cranking with the 4-way electric chute control.
Craftsman does make a model where this statement is correct but it is not the model shown.
This model does have a flexible shift for chute direction is seems to be much better than the usual auger direction mechanism. Even with the mistake it is still very reasonably priced.

Has a lot of power.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the electric start as pulling the cord is difficult for me. Starts right up. The movement of the locking directional shoot for the snow is also easy to use. I like the way it turns right or left using the levers on each handle and the heated handles will be very nice. I have not yet had enough snow to see how it actually performs.

Its alright
It doesn't count down big snow banks and it hurt your hands after awhile (especially if you done have strong hand grib) but other then that it works fine.

Not Overly Excited (updated!)
This morning I gave it another try on some wet stuff.....still snowing and have about 6" on the driveway....generally awful performane!,,,,,auger clogged up on first pass (about 120') and only had the impeller to throw about 15', otherwise just pushing the snow. Also, the inset headlights are great in the garage, but fill with snow and become ineffective.

Purchased and it was fully assembled
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have not had a chance to use the product yet but looks like a better built model than some of the other similarly priced products on the market

Stopped w working
I bought this snowblower to replace my trot but that I had for eight years but stopped working. I had the craftsman for less than 30 days and the Alger stopped working. Just five snow storms. It still through snow that would make it to the back of the blower. I was told that this is not the first one with this problem this season. I would have liked to have gotten a replacement in stead of having to wait two to three weeks for it to be repaired.

Not Overly Excited
Spent the $ to get a top level snowblower and am not all that happy. It replaces a 2000 9hp Craftsman which has been a workhorse and a great purchase. The new blower has pros and cons. When working dry powder snow it is super....casts out with distance and clears to the pavement. However, on wet stuff performance is marginal. The auger clogs (maybe it has tines that are too narrow?) and the unit rides up and does not clear to the pavement. The speeds are awful! Forward a-is way too fast and I have to keep it in 1st gear just to maintain normal walking speed. Reverse is way too slow, especially in low. The high reverse speed is appropriate and should be the low speed. Pros would be the impeller's ability to cast a great distance, the controls are ez to use, choke throttle and the electric start are spot on. To summarize - just not the same level of function the old unit brought to the table.
