The 2000 Series Craftsman(R) 26-in wide 5-drawer chest combines solid construction with a newly designed 12-in depth to offer a solution for those who are looking for storage with a smaller footprint. This chest is built to last, with an 18-20 gauge double-wall construction that strengthens the design. Recessed metal side handles on the chest make it easy to lift storage into place. The soft-close drawers gently pull themselves closed and will not slam shut. This helps keep your tools in place and ensures your drawers stay closed. Each heavy-duty drawer features a full extension design, can support up to 75 lb of tools and glides smoothly on ball-bearing slides. Finally, a keyed internal locking system with an included set of keys safeguards your most valuable tools. Red model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Vmarch from Nice American made tool chest Bought this online and picked it up at Lowe’s. The box had shipping damage but the damage did not go past the packing foam. The two has struts keep the lid up without a hinge support. The drawers self close and take a little effort to pull open. Paint and assembly was very nice

The drawers of the dresser below was so piled with stuff that I did not know I had 7 paks of staples for my staple gun. 6 the same size. Now everything has its place. And I found and got rid of, things I was not clear if or how I would every use it. Love this tool box.

I did add the liner to each tray & that helps too. Now that they are locked up no one can “borrow” them without my knowing where to find them. Got it on Sale too!

Why did I replace it? It is still serviceable and woks as it had over the years, but I need more space for my tools and I anticipate giving it to one of my grand sons or one of my great grands. Another reason was because I received the matching bottom box for Christmas, what a awesome deal!
