what product do the battery work with as well
I also have the garden trimmer and leaf blower and looking at buying the skill saw, I also bought the 4.0 V20 volt batteries when they were on sale as they fit and last twice as long when using.
Hope that helps.

Is this drill motor brushed or brushless
I have not read it anywhere about its motor type but based on my investigation and research, you can hardly find a brushless set for less than $200, i think it is brushed.

I recently purchased the 6 peice set which I really like. Most of my friends laughed at me cause it was not a major brand name. I'm convincing them different. Although I have a non functioning battery charger. I need to get this replaced. How do i get one
Can these battery packs be used on another craftsman product?
are they variable?

Garbage
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought these as a replacement for my Porta Cable 18 volt drill driver set. Anytime I put any kind of torque on them they shut down and I have to pull the trigger multiple times to get them to work again. Have to get the bolts and screws to almost finger tight then the impact driver works great. When drilling if the drill bit binds the least amount it also shuts down and I have to remove the bit from the material cycle the forward and reverse switch to get it to start working again. I think I will be going back to Porta Cable or maybe Dewalt but really disappointed with the Craftsman

Great drill great price.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking at drills and was about to pick up another brand untill i saw the price on this set. For the price of one other drill i got two. I am a professional contractor and these are not some junk product. They are very well made, tough and the real deal. The chuck on the drill feels soild, the impact has a lot of power. It has two batters and a fast charger. These have a three year warrNy as well.

I bought these because of price
For a hundred bucks you get the drill driver. Impact driver. 2 batteries. A charger and carrying bag. I really didn't expect much at that price. Its actually as good as my yellow set. The drill chuck is pretty cheaply made but who really uses a drill very much anymore? For a home owner the drill is fine. I put a lot of 8 and 2 inch screws in during the spring and summer. Fencing and raised vegetable beds plus pullet houses takes a lot o screws. So far so good with my red impact driver. Don't think any will ever last like my old 7 year old Kobalt. We will see i hope.

Good for small tasks, Lacking power for pro use.
I've had this kit for a little over a year now and it has been extremely useful for home projects. I use them nearly every day with no issues with the small stuff I'm doing around the house. I've built shelves, fixed door frames, mounted TVs with lag bolts into studs, drilling holes in drywall for conduit, and other small tasks.
Unfortunately, I can't recommend it for professional use. Attempting to run a 3/4" auger bit through 3/4" plywood mounted on drywall was a bit too much for the drill, even at low speed. The drill kept stopping and it took about 5 minutes to get all the way through. But then again, this is the brushed version and doesn't have the oomph that a brushless drill would have.

So far, so good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I have only owned these tools a short time, I am extremely pleased with th ergonomics, power and, versatility. Todate, I am extremely pleased with my purchase.
Pros: enough power and torque to accomplish my tasks. Led light that stays lit prior to drilling and for time after (holding trigger down not required). Good ergonomics which make it easy to use: well balanced. Small profile of battery yet does not seem to affect longevity of charge.
Con: while LED is a plus, it is set too far back and, the clutch housing causes a shadow right where you need it .. on the screw or bolt. perhaps using a longer bit would help.

Battery Issues
Same problem as bigd_444; Charged both batteries after unpacking. Used one of them for light duty work (drilled a couple of holes in some drywall) and left the combo kit in the included bag (batteries were not plugged into the drill, imapct driver or charger). Fast forward 3 weeks and one of the batteries is completely dead - won't even charge. Will return but not sure if I'll replace.
The drill / driver itself is quite nice, a bit on the heavier side of things, but comfortable to use and hold. The charger is good too - initial charge took less than an hour. I only wish the batteries weren't hit or miss. YMMV.

Both are awesome!
I bought this 20V set to build my first ever deck. They worked flawlessly. I used the impact drill to sink 3” screws into my frame for the deck. It sped right through. I used the regular drill for the deck boards because I can change the settings and not sink all the way through the deck boards. Both batteries always lasted all day. I never had a battery die on me once. I bought the 20V miter saw and it lasted all day cutting 2x6’s with a 4AH battery. So far I have done a 14x12 deck and outdoor furniture. I also have the 20V sander and circular saw. All work flawlessly. The batteries really hold their weight.
