Got this saw as I have a lot of the V20 line up and multiple 4/5ah batteries. This saw came with a free Fast Charger 4ah battery deal so that was nice. So far I used it non stop for 2x12 boards with no problem. Lasted about 2-3 hours on a 4ah battery beveling 27* cuts. Only complaint is a little higher RPMs would be nice but I know it's a single battery application and having the ability for a rafter hanger on it when I'm in trusses or on the roof. Other than that a really nice saw for its price compared to my wired Makita. Just make sure you buy a good blade for it. The blade it comes with is a cheap and thick blade. 1/4 inch blade compared to 1/8.

Great Saw!
I bought this to replace my old corded Makita that finally died building a deck. I have some of the V20 outdoor yard tools so since I had the Craftsman batteries I got this instead of getting into the Makita battery line too. I admit to being hesitant getting a Craftsman saw since my Makita was like a trusted friend for years. I've always had Craftsman yard tools but not saws.I have to say though you literally couldn't tell the difference going from a corded circular saw to this. This feels every bit as powerful and well built. Nice measurements stamped into the shoe also. Very impressed. I used this with the 4ah battery instead of the 2ah which I also have. I recommend it if you're in the V20 line and need a great saw!

Lowe: Good. Saw: decent Craftsman: dumb.
Saw is good - not pro quality, but i knew that going in. Biggest problem is the 'owners manual'. It is literally 6 pages of warning's/ cautions. Most about proper recharging batteries. The section about how to install a blade (so the saw can actually be USED) was 10 lines of mice type. Craftsman DOES NOT tell you that there is a inner blade washer and outer blade washer. They explain to make sure they are installed "properly ". If you put both washers on the outside of the blade, YOUR SAW WILL NOT WORK. AT ALL. I figured it out. But with 6 pages of silly warnings, I would think they could explain this a little better.

My first circular saw but not my first saw.
This saw will do it's job if you do yours. I bought this along with the two-pack of 4mAh batteries which are interchangeable with any other Craftsman V20 tool. Charged them up expecting a saw to chew through the wood and the battery but didn't need to change them out. I guess I have an extra battery now. That's always a good thing. As for the saw itself, it's surprisingly light at just over 7 pounds but very powerful which means it can get away from you if you don't respect it. From the moment you turn it on, you can feel the torque going to the blade. I also upgraded the blade to the 60 tooth craftsman offering since I knew I was going to be cutting plywood and I'm glad I did; the cut was smooth, easy to make, and made me glad to own the saw. You can tell a lot by the first cut and this one told me I'm a Craftsman guy now.

Craftsman Quality
This new 7 1/4" saw is a total beast. It has an Led light, magnetic wrench holder, and is built like a tank. Every aspect of this saw was over built and on par with "pro" versions. I was surprised with the quality of every aspect of this new saw. I hope Craftsman continues this route on future tools because they knocked this out of the park and into orbit. I'm excited for the future of Craftsman.

Glad its here
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so happy craftsman released this brushless saw, the old unit 6" is underpowered and not up to task on some jobs. This new unit is a beast! I have almost every v20 tool, happy with the line thus far.

Great saw
This is a great saw. It has all the power I need. I made a YouTube review of this saw, and in it I forgot to mention it has a light built in.
I would readily recommend this saw. I’d recommend pairing it with a higher amp hour battery at least 4 but 6 would be better.
