Description
This two-stage snow blower by Craftsman is powered by a 208 CC, 4-cycle OHV engine that eliminates the need to mix oil and gas by yourself. The strong serrated steel augers cut through snow to clear pathways and alleys faster for great time savings. Its self-propelled drive features 6 forward and 2 reverse speeds provide control and versatility in different winter conditions, while 15-in tires offer traction in snowy terrain. Extended chute increases throwing distance and reduces snow blowback by keeping a tighter discharge pattern. Adjustable skid shoes are rust-free and protect surfaces from scratches. The snowblower's headlights provide greater visibility, meaning you can tackle snow jobs at any time of the day. Backed by a 3-year limited warranty on unit and a lifetime limited warranty on the chute.

Does this model come with an extension cord for the electric starter?
It doesn’t come with an extension cord. You plug the extension cord plug into the electric starter on the side of the snow blower.

Can it be used on 3/4” gravel?. Will the warranty be valid if auger/pulley/chute etc gets damaged by gravel? My old snowblower auger pulley broke because a 3/4” stone got caught in it.
I have a pea gravel driveway. Definately have to be careful to not throw too many stones. You can adjust the sliding feet to raise the auger so it doesn't grab too many stones. Might mean you have to leave a thin layer of packed snow on your driveway.

Working great.
Bought this after a Friggin Alberta snowmegeddon, finally had enough. Big driveway and I'm not doing it anymore. Assembly of this thing took me a half hour, super simple. Filled it, primed it, I used the electric start the first time and let it run for about 10 mins. Today I got to use it and it was windy and horrible outside, stinky big drifts. This thing plowed right threw all of it. Wet stuff on the bottom and the fluff on top. And it throws it far! I was running at just under max speed and forward 2 gear and it threw the snow awesome. Great machine so far and at $899 on sale it was a great price.

Runs Awesome!
Just bought this unit. Cleaned the driveway and burned a trail through the yard and out to the alley through a snowbank left by a Bobcat in no time! Started with one pull fresh out of the box. It only took me about 10 minutes to set up out of the box. Love it so far.

A Quality Product from Craftsman MTD
I have owned a variation of this model for 7 years, and have used it on 3 driveways per season. That would equate to 21 years of single lane use. It has proven itself to be beyond reliable, and the only items I have replaced myself are the belts and pull starter rope. Excellent quality machine that will last me many more years,

Poor Quality
Bought this snow blower Jan 18/22 after 3 weeks the cable to change gears broke. Trying to register the item at the Craftsman site is a nightmare...keep getting a message that the number I am entering is not valid...taking the information right from the machine. Had high hopes for this machine. So disappointed. It worked great for 3 weeks but if the cble breaks this fast what is next to go.

Good Machine
I bought this snowblower 2 years ago and only got to use it 2 times. Last year it didn't get used due to contractor supplied snow removal. I had put stabilizer in the fuel however this fall when went to get it ready for use the fuel had gummed up the carburetor rendering it in need of repairs. It was recommended by the warranty depot that the fuel should be emptied after the winter season is over to avoid that from occurring again. Other then that issue this is a great unit.

Great service, great value, worked as advertised.
Bought this unit today. was assembled at Lowes, staff gave excellent service. Got it home, checked the oil (all good) added gas and it started first pull. Had no trouble with snow including the windrows left front and back by city crews. one hand operation worked well, a pleasant feature.
