Great Miter Saw
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this saw to finish out the inside of my pub shed and it has been a real boon to both productivity and quality of cuts. The detents are dead on the money with clean 45's without needing adjustment. If I have any complaint it is that the dust bag does not collect dust well. I really do not care since I use it outside but maybe someone who uses it inside should hook it up to a shop vac. I also bought the delta miter saw table to go with it and the combination is fantastic! For the price of a dewalt miter saw I got both!.

2 bad saws.
I love Craftsman, they make up the majority of my tool kit. However I've had nothing but bad luck with this saw. The first saw I bought, the locking pin the keeps it locked down ripped out, so I returned it just figuring it was a faulty model. The replacement saw I bought immediately stopped working. I got it all set up on my table, and gave the trigger a test squeeze, got about 1 second of spin before it stopped. I thought I popped a breaker or something but nope, the saw just up and quit right out of the box. Tried numerous outlets, breezed through the manual, but to no avail. I plan to take this one back and look for a different saw. Pretty disappointed about this.

Pro 45 cuts!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Borrowed a friends Dewalt compound miter (non-sliding) 45s were ok. This Craftsman 10” sliding miter felt like butter! In comparison. Smooth cuts with way more precise cuts. Fairly lightweight and large base platform to place the wood.

Lets go cut some wood....
I just purchased (Jan 5, 2021) this compound miter saw. It was my second miter purchase in 3 days. I first purchased a DEWALT 12 inch 15-Amp Dual Bevel Sliding Compound Corded Miter SawItem #819980 - Model #DWS779. When I got it home I soon realized my eyes were bigger than my belly. Hey, it was a good price, but still too big and heavy. So, back it went to the return desk and I then purchased the CRAFTSMAN 10 inch 15-Amp Single Bevel Sliding Corded Miter SawItem #1270921 - Model #CMXEMAX69434501. I did my due diligence by reading the Lowe’s reviews and online reviews. I was happy with what I was reading. There were a few reviews that cast a negative light on the saw but the positive reviews far outweighed them by a bundle. So, I am now the proud owner of said Craftsman miter saw. I opened the box and removed the saw. It looked good. The first thing I did was get a piece of scrap wood and cut a 90 and 45 degree angle. They were perfect (see pictures), the back and forth glide action was smooth and auto break worked well. It’s also about 20 pounds lighter than the aforementioned DeWalt. I know the DeWalt was a dual bevel and the craftsman is a single bevel. But for my use the dual was not a necessary item. I guess the real ? is can it withstand the test of time. Hope this helps….

Great Saw for the price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking into the 10" Sliding Ryobi Saw at Home Depot that is the same price as this saw. I ended up going with this and I'm glad I did. It feels a lot sturdier than the Ryobi and has been working great so far. Great price for a decent saw.

nice
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Square right out of the box. Led back light blade so much better than any laser. Lighter and just as fast cutting as my 12” pig of a Dewalt . 1/2 the price of the rigid I was going to buy. The single bevel is fine for me.
