A log option is not available for the CEFL42SB-LOWC.
The appliance comes equipped with crystal media.

Is the flame multicolored? If a color LED strip light is wrapped around the back except the top vent, will the heat melt the strip light? Are the feet rubber or scratch resistance for table top?
The CEFL42SB-LOWC flame is not multicolored.

2 question. I’d like to us it in my trailer in the fall rather that a space heater. As it has legs I’d sit it on the floor. Would say that this would be safe heat wise? Does it give out much heat?
The CEFL42SB-LOWC is manufactured for indoor use only and is not considered a space heater.

Thought I would review as I can’t find any on this model online.
For the price it’s not bad. Flames are not as high as in pics.
This fireplace is meant to be hung on the outside of the wall NOT in drywall like other have the option too as the heat vent is on top.
It would come out 4-5inches from the wall.
We decided to put it in the wall as we don’t need the heat function and just want it for the visual effects in our living room.
If you decide to put it in the wall you will need to get brackets and drill into the fireplace and into the drywall to hold in place. Hardwire would be required for power.
For the price we payed and what we wanted in the end it’s not bad.

Gorgeous, gives a nice ambiance!
No idea why this fireplace has low reviews. We hung it in our living room, wanted to give the feel of a fireplace. It looks great! We love it. Yes it sticks out from the wall, but it’s really not that noticeable. Gives a nice heat, we likely wont use the full heat setting, or use the heat much because it might heat up the TV too much, but for what we spent - it exceeded our expectations.

Lovely but why is the vent on top??
My husband bought this for me and set it up. He said the assembly wasn't as easy as expected, but manageable. The flames look nice, as do the crystals, and it's not very noisy. It appears to produce a good amount of heat. The issue for me is that the heating vent is at the top, meaning that you can't actually get any heat from it if it's mounted within a wall. My plan was just to leave it out, but I find it quite lacking in aesthetics, since it sits 5 inches away from the wall and you can't place anything on top of it (to cover the unattractive vents etc). Very frustrating!

Issue with sound
I installed this last week; it sits on a wall hung from the back. It worked perfect the first 3 days and looks lovely. Today it started to make a rhythmic rumbling sound. This is when the fan and heater are off and only the electric flames are operable. Do I take it back? Is this normal? It’s making me nervous that it’s so new and now making odd noises. It’s a cumbersome thing to handle and would be a pain to take back.

Good fireplace but NOT meant to be recess in
I bought this a month ago but didn't realize it wasn't meant to be recessed in as the vent is on top and there is no support on the sides.
It's a good fireplace but it lacks information about that detail!! It should have been display very clear that it's not meant to be recessed in as you can read other reviews a lot of bought it to find out about that only after is installed.
Lack of information on the box!
