Description
Using the Command(R) adhesive, the picture ledge holds strongly to a variety of surfaces, including paint, wood, tile and more. It is a great alternative to damaging screws and nails, and comes off cleanly and easily without leaving any holes or sticky residue. Reusing the picture ledge is as easy as applying refill strips, so you can take down, move and reuse it again. It can hold up to 5 lb (2,6 kg).

Good shelf
While this product is designed to be a picture shelf, I actually find this product to be a good general use shelf as well. Perfect for displaying bobble head figurines or for use as additional storage space. Just be sure not to put any seriously heavy items on the shelf as it is only held up with adhesive. The good news though is that 3M provides their extra sticky Command strips with this shelf so it can withstand quite some weight on it.

Does not work!
Purchased this item as a renter friendly item since I did not want to drill holes in the wall. However, after preparing the surface and trying twice the shelf would not even hold for 1 second and soon as released pressure to take off the bases as the instructions said the shelf would immediately come down couldn’t move on from step 2. Disappointing because their hooks worked great for me.

Fell off with no weight on it at all
I have a gallery wall in my apartment. All but three things are hung on it with Command strips, so I know they work on that wall surface. I tried to hang this thing twice, following the instructions exactly. Both time the shelf fell off before I could even put things on it. How do I get my money back?

Zero thumbs. Do NOT recommend.
Honestly, if I could give zero stars I would. This shelf consistently falls off my wall at this point ripping the paint off with it. I finally just left it off instead of trying to reattach it… unsure why they don’t make 8lbs refill strips for the floating shelf because it literally dose r ahere… now I have to buy a whole other shelf just to get the strips to attempt to hide the huge circle of paint that it ripped off my newly painted wall. Picture frames and hooks are as far as I’ll go with these strips… they always rip the paint off by the way.

Not for textured painted walls
It's a good product but it just wouldn't adhere properly to a painted wall with texture. Tried twice but it wouldn't stick.

Fell off wall with nothing on it
Bought this to display picture frames in my dorm room. After following the instructions and waiting to hang the shelf, it fell off the wall within 30 minutes. There was nothing on the shelf, I just wanted to see how it looked bare. Each heavy duty strip detached from the wall and the shelf scuffed and dented as it hit the floor. The shelf itself looks okay. It is lightweight plastic but it doesn't look super cheap. The shelf seemed somewhat bowed once i hung it up. I used a level to check and it showed that it was level, but the center of the shelf definitely looked a little off from across the room. I didn't mind that much, but I'm very disappointed in the adhesive strips. I even waited longer than the time listed in the directions to hang the shelf up and they just didn't work. Luckily the shelf comes with two sets of the adhesive strips, so I may try again, but I’m disappointed that the entire first set of strips were wasted.

Multi-purpose, great for renters!
I have several of these and I don't use them for pictures at all! I use them for Nintendo Amiibos (out of box), and other little collectables. The white ones, I use upside down, and display all my Lego Mario builds, all in a line to make it look like one big level from the game. There are so many possibilities with these shelves and if they ever discontinue I'll cry!

Great Idea
I’ve used Command products fo4 years and love them. Just saw this ledge and I’ll try it.
A note to Davey who posted about using this for his record collection. You may be warping your by vinyl by leaning them against the wall. Maybe buy some sleeves to store the actual records and just place the original sleeves on display. Nice collection and don’t want to see it ruined.
