Description
Comfortboost is a top-of-the-line next generation underlayment specifically designed to improve a room's overall comfort by combining VinylTrends' advanced acoustical foam with radiant energy reflective technology to provide a comfort that you can actually “feel”. “Feel the Difference” - How it Works? Up to 93% of heat/air conditioning lost through your floor is primarily due to the penetration of Radiant energy (compare this to energy lost by Conduction at only 7% and losses through Convection at 0%). The fused aluminum film prevents radiant energy from penetrating down, reflecting it back into your home where it is absorbed in the form of heat or air conditioning energy. This relationship of reflection and absorption is what makes Comfortboost provide a “comfort” that you can really feel.
- Advanced Acoustical Foam STC 72 // IIC 73 // Delta 21
- 2 mm reflective technology thickness keeps floors warm in winter and cool in summer
- Will improve energy efficiency of your home
- Perfect for Condos and Basements
- Includes seaming tape
- Lifetime Warranty

I would like to use this product, under vinyl plank, in a small bathroom with a concrete floor. Is there any reason not to use it? I have used about 500 sq ft under engineered hardwood and like the results. Thank you. Mike
Mike, you can’t use this product for vinyl plank flooring. The product you need is comfortboost LVT, it has black coat instead of purple. It is 1mm thick, this was told to me by Canadian sales rep. Hope this helps.
