Rated 5 out of 5 by BobAd from Strong, Easy to Install These shelf brackets and tracks are very strong. They're very easy to install. They rely on stud placement, so you may not be able to place them precisely where you want to. Just locate the studs, screw in the tracks, and you're done. I used drywall screws and a drill, so it took me 10 minutes. I love the heavy steel construction, you can tell they are strong just by feeling the weight. They are sleek and look great too! Note the brackets are about 1" shorter than the nominal length. This allows a little overhang of your shelf, making them look nicer. The price is unfortunate, if they were cheaper I would have them all over my house and shop.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We started using this product about 15 years ago after we had a catastrophic shelving failure in our master closet and decided that we would benefit from the modular ability of the closet maid system. Now 15years later it was time to upgrade our other closet and of course went with the closet maid modular system and included the newer clothes rails that were now offered. Thanks to the closet maid designers of the modular technology we can easily reposition the closet configuration as our needs change. Thanks to Lowe’s for carrying this line of home improvement!

Rated 1 out of 5 by MaddFred from Structurally Deficient Bracket! This Bracket is not structurally adequate to support a full shelf of clothing. I installed 4 brackets to support a 12' long wire shelving and after little over a month the shelve collapsed. All 4 brackets were bent and/or broken at the stubs that hooked into the vertical slotted piece. The manufacturer said they only come with a 30-day warranty so I would have to just go out and purchase replacements if I still wanted to used this system. This is unsatisfactory customer service and a poorly designed and manufactured product.

This was purchased to construct a series of racks for my nice shoes and provide a little storage and a place to air out suits before returning to the closet. For my purposes I do not expect the system to experience the weight an actual closet shelf might. However, this bracket is solidly built and should have considerable load-bearing capacity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JohnY from Closet Maid and ShelfTrack is the only way to go Whenever I used to install wire shelving, I would hand the shelves using the screw-in plastic clips and metal supports that ClostMaid sells. I was never happy with the job. For one thing, the supports interfered with storage on the shelf below to a degree. Then I discovered this ShelfTrack system. While a more expensive solution, the double tracks and supports are super strong, and the shelf separation is adjustable. It's a very clean and functional solution, and actually easier to install than the old way.
